Looks like there is an indoor section too. I'm guessing that's the Hoarders area?

Yeah, would have been useful to know before booking the early session.

Correct. Easily my least favorite fresh vintage by far. Haven’t had it since though; sitting on a few bottles.

Haha was that BT? Could of sworn it was Mash. Either way that was funny.

So the DC party was everything I thought it would be and more. Will definitely be attending future events if able.

Out of our group of 4 (and everyone else we spoke to) it was unanimous agreement that blueberry pancake and spicy island were the best of the event. Both were packed with so much fruit character that I have no reservation about aging a bottle of each.

Like someone else said, they are so far removed from what black tuesday is that its almost like they are their own unique beers and not BT.

Was awesome to try Chocolate Reign without having to crack a bottle. Based on the ~5oz I drank of that one, it might be a decade before I think about opening one. Holy hell its boozy but also surprising that its one of the few BT iterations where you can actually taste the oakiness from the barrel.

    Today’s the big day!

I’ll see you all at the party. I won’t recognize any of you (might recognize FF), but I’ll see you!

Everybody have fun! Don’t drink and drive.

I'll be at the first session, wearing a grey hoarders shirt and my Beer Advocate hat.

Always happy to meet another beer advocate.

After 4 years as a RS member I'm making my first event (I live in Seattle) today - session #1.

Driving up from San Diego with my dad (my proxy) and my sister (our DD). I'll be wearing a blue Adidas shirt; say hello if you spot us

    Cheers, - james

Mash was labeled imperial brown but I feel like there was an inside joke that BT happened to be weird that year as well, and people were joking it "should have been" labeled that too.

BT was never actually labeled Imperial Brown, and you're correct it was Mash and maybe a couple of Mash & variants.

Wow. Crowded af in this little tent. The feedback will be swift and certain. Not good.

Single barrel is also pretty solid; just behind spicy island next to the tent opening.

So the BT event pretty much is “meh” (or is at best mediocre). 500 people under a tiny tent, most of the food table out in the first hour. Hoarders area was packed at first for the two different pours they had, neither of which was that impressive (nor that impressive mixed together) and not much A/C. Barely any seating like prior years, started a little late, etc., etc. Just generally a “meh” or “ok” event at most, and not worth the price of admission. On the bright side, it’s not sweltering under the tent...

Looks like you didn't have a good time since your grammar and punctuation is correct. Hope the second session isn't as pack like you mentioned.

I try very hard (and only barley succeed) in getting my grammar correct. Second session supposedly has about 150 less attendees, so hopefully it’ll be better.
