Looks like a box delivered in Philly and one out for delivery in Iowa. Just a little one with the shwag and some tasty food options...

    A follow up from yesterday:
I finally got to get a better look at what @CanConPhilly sent me.

Holy cow, you sent me Gatherer 2019, and you and @larryi86 both said it was better than 18'. So stoked. The EvilTwin canned IPAs sound quite interesting. As does the Imperial IPA from Other Half.

I'm also very excited about the bottles as well. Gestalt and Form To Table from Fermentery Form really intregue me, because the're big bottles, but lower ABV.

3 Tired Hands bottles - Pourison, Quaggy and Milkstave IPA, all sound amazing.

Of course, I got a new style in - Kvass - from Grimm. Also Grimm Stargaze, and a good Berliner is damn amazing, and I have a feeling I'm in for a treat.

Finally, I get to tick off a new state - Virginia - with Bourbon Sleeping Forever from The Vail Brewing. Getting closer and closer to all 50 states.

I'm just so damn excited to tyr these all Matt. I've also swapped out my Odell brewing bottle opener key chain with the Tired Hands one. The Odell one is now on the keychain that I keep at work.

It looks like I'll be hanging out with some friends on Sunday, and that Other Half shirt will be broken in, now that it's been washed.

So damn happy, and excited. I just can't thank you enough for everything. This all means so much to me.

Great box @CanConPhilly ! Too bad about the damage but these things happen from time to time. I hope the shipper did not give you a hard time.

The beer looks great. At 15% ABV I am sure it lets you know you are drinking something!

I really enjoy your contributions to BA, so I was stoked when @FFFjunkie gave me you as a target. I almost hit you the last round of NBS, but ran out of time. Hope you enjoy the (mostly) lower-abv brews! That Veil brew is a beast, but worth it to get that state tick.

(And those Fermentary Form beers are my favorites in the box, but that may be the homer in me. They make sours like no one else in this area. So glad neither of those bottles broke!)

Ok blind beer from @larryi86 this one is stumping me...

Pours murky cloudy dull yellow thick white head excellent retention. Nose is maybe biscuit and light malt slightly floral, just a hint booze coming through.

Taste is slightly caramel, light sweetness am I getting some mint???? For sure getting some barrel in the flavor.

Feel is slightly slick little creamy and warming.

Amazing lacing and head retention for such a high abv beer, if it is barrel aged I am think a white liqueur barrel of some kind maybe tequila I might be getting that and some lime.

I have no idea the style I was going to say color and nose lead me toward a saison but the taste and feel are more barleywine. I will keep drinking and try to figure this out.

I have to admit this one killed me, very easy drinking as it warmed I believe it is gin barrel aged but no idea the style. looks like a saison very smooth thick creamy feel so here is the reveal.

Excellent call on this beer @larryi86 , over the last 45 minutes I have finished almost this whole bottle. Very smooth and easy drinking the gin (which I was correct about) was prominent but I never figured this for a Gin barrel aged Lager hitting 9.8%. Barrel and gin presence were very nice. Good call and thanks for the chance to try this one!!!!

Glad you enjoyed it, figured that it would be a fun mystery beer since I think there might be one other gin barrel aged lager on this site. I really enjoyed how the flavors come together.

    I've been hit by @vabeerguy!

First, Mike's packing is the new standard for this BIF. This box could have been thrown off a bridge and it would have remained intact. Just look at this. How can the same guy that wakes up to loud Springsteen at 2AM do this???

Exactly what I hoped for with beauties from The Veil, Triple Crossing, The Answer, and Vasen Brewing:

    Here is the rundown:
The Veil: Whiteferrari DIPA, Whitebugatti TIPA, Master Master Shredder Shredder DIPA, Loud Shredder IPA, CatCat BoyBoy DIPA

The Answer – Fields of Glycol DIPA

Vasen Brewing Co. – Mandarin Galaxy DIPA

Triple Crossing – Origins DIPA and a crowler of Disappearance, an Imperial Stout with Blanchard's Hand Shake Blend coffee and cacao nibs.

    The swag:

Love the shirt (even in the wimpy L size) and I'm digging into the food right now...

Finally, check out the wrapping on the mystery beer courtesy of Mike's granddaughter. It doesn't get any cuter than this:

Thanks, Mike! You killed this BIF and I'm psyched! All thoughtful beers that line up exactly with my tastes!

You are welcome my friend. The next time The Answer Brewpub cans stout crowlers I will pick some up and send. I owe two other folks the same stuff.
