Do want. Has anyone tried yet?
Loved Xquic, but didn't get much coffee in it.

Being inside this year seems nice, but I hadn't really considered the size difference until reading some comments here. I went to a beer festival at Coca-Cola Field which was pretty fun, but they used every possible spot to put a brewery and it was confusing trying to figure out where things were located. I also imagine they had more space and fewer breweries and still had pretty long lines. So I'm cautiously optimistic about the new venue.

It's got me on the fence about even going, and I've gone to the past 4. Hell it might take care of itself if tickets are more limited and sell out before I decide...

I hopped off the fence. We're not going. I'll be very interested in how reports of how the space works out.

I think you’re all forgetting that the stadium has 4 levels that they can use...

That would be a disaster. Up and down escalators, elevators and stairs? No thanks.

Thinking of taking a beercation for this event...
    worth it?
id be coming from new england closest thing we have would be extreme beer fest I think
long lines? things tap out really early? and does VIP get you into the fest early or just the private section tappings and more bottles of the variants?

also Ive seen some mention other good events that go on during the tampa beer week, any other suggestions?

    thanks

There are some lines. Things do kick early. VIP does not grant early access.

With all that said this is still one the most fun days of beer you can imagine. Definitely worth visiting for if you’re having a beercation.

I have driven 8+ hours from NC the past two years with some buddies for a beercation. Worth it (at the previous day and location)? Absolutely. We would rent an AirBnb near Cigar City so we could walk home from Huna day and short Uber everywhere else (minus St Pete). Spent a morning/afternoon at the beach and breweries/bars in St Pete area. Perfect beach weather. Lots of "events" at the time but many are sold out way in advance. It was never an issue for us...more than enough things to do without paying $$$$ for Angry Chair or Cycle tickets (just go to the breweries and have some of their beers instead). Weather has been fantastic. Sure there were some long lines, but just hop in and alternated getting more samples with a buddy while you wait. Nobody cares. The vast majority of lines are 10 people deep at most.

But this year we are passing due to the venue and day change. They have had enough FAILS with the festival with other changes, I rather see that this is going to work out before committing by PTO, time, and money. Not sure the reasoning behind the change, as most say the former spot at the stadium was the best.

Been to 4 of the past 6 years, but will sadly be passing on this years fest (budgeting/house projects has me choosing between Huna day or el catador and I’d rather stick with the club than one day of fun).

I’m interested to see how this years plays out at the arena. I really enjoyed Ray Jay and sad to see them moving on after 2 great years. Also preferred the Saturday vs Friday, but won’t stop me from attending in the future if they decide to keep with it.

Definitely try to budget some time for the other beer events/breweries too. You should be able to get tickets for Cycle BA day too, and maybe Garagiste's Magnumpalooza if you're into mead. Plus the beer scene outside of the events is top notch

Got my tickets today. First timer. Honestly I missed my guy's trip to Brewvival so we're taking this one a bit further south. Looking forward to it. Feel free to ply me with questionable advice.

Where's the list of breweries? We are first timers, who spend a week or two in Tampa every few years visiting family and luckily timing was good this year. Every other festival I've been to post the breweries to get the interest going, it's almost secretive.

The list isn't secretive per se, it does get released but it's CCB so nothing is ever timely or super well planned. You kinda get used to it, like Angry Chair having to start sales hours before planned.

Very sad to be missing it this year. Love TBBW but I'll be back next year. If anyone from Chicago is going and the cost of a 12 bottle allotment is scary to them, hit me up and I'd gladly split and even provide you a travel shipper with wheels to bring it back in.

Why is the tap list not out? Need to see this to decide if going. Changed to Friday, now tap list is late. Dayum boi.

I’m pretty sure the taplist is going to be as good as any other year. Either you want to to go to a beer festival loaded with amazing beer or you don’t. I’ve never waited for the taplist to buy tickets and never been disappointed.
