    Beautiful dark ruby tinted brown with tan cap and lacing.

    Nice scent of dark roasted barley, ripe figs and plums, a touch of chocolate and a scoch of toffee.

    Taste is rather full without being heavy like a high quality Porter. Ripe fruits more prominent mid palate and overall complexity builds with each sip. Very complex yet fully rounded like a smooth stream stone with polished edges.

    ....My production lead filleted the front of his shin skateboarding last night, production grinds to a halt for the day. Almost glad because I was drinking Wild Turkey barrel aged nitro stout until 2am. Now back to the beer...

    Lunch-time at my local, with a certain Helles Lager that I ADORE.
    Just love the lingering smokiness in it from the brewery... Prost! And you know me - I can't help playing a cheesy song that is thematically linked to my beer.

    Ran, walked the dogs, now a leftover cheeseburger and a beer from a couple of years ago that got packed away. I drank a lot of Ommegang Abbey Ale back in the day so I probably bought it as an impulse purchase. A very pleasant toffee, bourbon, vanilla taste with some subtle cherry in the finish. This should carry me through the afternoon. Happy Bobblehead Day too!
