Treehouse’s New Decade is delicious, and rings in at 8.6%, which is slightly on the higher end of the abv spectrum for a Treehouse DIPA.

 

Well...at that rate you may really love it by the 6th bottle. Then you'll have to go buy more .

I'm halfway through my 2nd six pack and I know I'll be buying more.

Just got to whine a little. Bear with me. Hurt my back twice in late Nopvember and early December. Was starting to feel good and the on Xmas day I tripped and fell on my shoulder. Just getting around where it does not hurt much and I have some mobility. Then fuck. Caught a cold or flu or something. Two months now just being a worthless fuck. I guess I am paying for the sins of my youth. Karma can be a bitch.

Untitled Art Peach Double Milkshake IPA. First review. Excellent. Amazing head retention/foamy lacing. Opaquely murky orange/green color. Aromas and flavors of huge tart/tangy peach juice/fuzz/skin/pits, orange, grapefruit, lemon, pineapple, apricot, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with big honey, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, vanilla, cream, light toast malt sweetness; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy/silky/bready malts/lactose; some sticky/resinous/rindy hops, acidic/tangy fruit; light slickness/tannins in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing bitter/tart dryness; no cloying/astringency. Very smooth/soft, minimal warming 9%. Feels like a lot of Citra/Simcoe. Extremely huge juicy hops/fruit, with solid dank/earthy notes; with a large sized lactose and wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin/tangy dryness. Really rich and intense, but not overly sweet. 4.06

Got some random samples at work today. Starting with Magic Hat Easy Miles, a hazy pale ale.

Haven’t had a MH beer in ages. This isn’t bad. Certainly nothing special, but it has some nice tropical notes.

 

Great local NEIPA and been I very good day all around. Boom!

 

I try to refrain from posting food pr0n here because of all the magnificent beer photos we all enjoy, but I had to post this. It’s a half pound breaded chicken breast, perfectly fried, with mashed taters, two buttermilk biscuits, creamy jalapeño gravy, and some fresh veggies. This is literally food crack.
