Afternoon BA, going to get my drink on.

 

As we near Robert Burns' birthday, I pulled out this favorite from the great brewers at Three Floyds, Robert The Bruce, a Scottish Ale. Generous creamy and foamy head, pleasent hops, malt and bread aroma, excellent taste mirrors with caramel noted as well. Rich full body, creamy, light carbonation, easy finish. Pleasurable drinking.

Red Stripe tastes better in Jamaica. Curious where are you staying?, I got married at Couples Negril.

 

A slow Tuesday after a holiday. One of my colleagues is out of the country for a new Visa, so we have to pick up the slack for him.

Weldwerks Starry Night. Fantastic milk stout. Lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, toasted coconut, hazelnut, vanilla, cream, and dark/brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of coffee, molasses, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, char, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal, woody, grassy, peppery, roast, charred bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety/bready, and fairly sticky/chalky mouthfeel. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness. no cloying/acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Super smooth/sooft/silky finish, minimal warming 7.5%. Fantastic balance of super rich malts, hazelnut, coconut, chocolate, and lactose flavors; with restrained earthy hops and fruity yeast. Light residual sweetness with lingering hop/char dryness. Highly impressive as expected of the brewery. 4.23

Not being a big NEIPA guy, I never had this one before. It’s become a pretty popular shelfie option around here. Canned 12/30, 6.5%, drinking pretty nice. Has a bit of the overly citric overripe mango flavor that I am not a fan of, but luckily not too much. Solid NEIPA, I see why it’s popular. Nothing to take into the top ranks for my taste, though. Cheers!

They certainly do! I’ve lost track of how many Red Stripes I’ve had in the past three days. I’m staying right next door to Couples! Sunset at the Palms. In fact we walked past the Couples Catamaran cruise just about an hour ago as we strolled down Bloody Bay beach. Cheers!

 

Been away a few days, but saw this as a nice, bright way to come back with a citrus punch. The movie, of course, was very avant garde in it's day, the music ageless:
