I am asked about this multiple times on a daily basis. It won't be out until the end of December, but that doesn't mean we can't start talking about it now  Anyone had it in previous years?

I had it last year and loved it. The bourbon was strong on the finish and really warmed up my palate!

Rahr's Bourbon Barrel Winter Warmer is my favorite Rahr beer, and cant wait for the new batch to hit shelves.

Yep, had it last year and it was fantastic! Worth the hunt and the money. I still have a bottle from last year to compare to this year's.

I am buying a case of this years release. I bought 8 last year and I ended up trading 5 and drinking two. I only have 1 bottle of '10 and 1 bottle of '11 left... I really wish I had more.

Was released at FW Saucer last night (I'm sure there will be multiple places, including the brewery itself). Doubtful any lasted but I can ask.

I think I left 2-3 of them at the Majestic in Granbury

I'm not sure if it's still open but if you want to drive I'd call first. I passed them up because I saw 2 6'ers of Bigfoot.

FWIW, during my 3 years residing in Granbury, phone calls to Majestic usually never got me very far. If an elderly man answers the phone, he'll put down the phone and physically go look for you. Anyone else and the conversation goes like this:

Me: "Did you guys get any of the New Belgium Lips of Faith Series in?"

Majestic: "New Belgium? Yeah, we got that."

    Me: "La Folie?"

Majestic: "If it's New Belgium, we order it."

I wasted a few lunch hours before I learned my lesson. But they have a few "aged" gems like 2011 BBAWW, 2011 Ten Fidy, and Bigfoot usually stays around a while. Unibroue's La Seigneuriale should also still be there, which I believe was retired in '08 or '09. I think I'll pull the trigger on that one next weekend when I'm in town.

Yea, sorry guys. I work for Centennial (which owns Majestic and Big Daddy's).

But, good news: I work at a GREAT beer store in Westlake. You can always call here for those rare/hard to find brews. I can't always get everything, but I get the bulk of new releases. I'm always asking my reps about what's coming out when and they are awesome at getting me what my customers (and I) want.

The Westlake near Fort Worth, right? Not the neighborhood in Austin?

Oh, yes. North Fort Worth. RIGHT on the Roanoke/Westlake line.

I think I've been to your store. I thought that was Trophy Club but that area confuses the hell out of me.

I love this beer with a year on it soooo... bad experience? Cold age or room temp age?

I had many pints at The Bottoms Christmas in August thing.

They floated 3 slims pretty quick. Very tasty stuff and I enjoyed most of my bottles with my buddy over smoked ribs this summer.

Beer tastes like a crummy boozy-tea after 1.5 - 2 years. Or at least the year before lasts did. Absolutely fell off of a cliff

I had some on tap last night at the Flying Saucer in Fort Worth. They had a keep the glass night. I assumed it was last years version but nobody could confirm. The beer was excellent, very smooth.

I have a few bottles from last year put away and cant wait to enjoy around the holidays.
