Goose Island Bourbon County Stout - Coffee and Cherry Rye '12

Binny's Lakeview had a few cases of Coffee left around 10am.

 

Well fortunate for me I was at work when this fiasco occurred so for the 12 people that were there waiting, 2 of my friends included, that's a pretty big let down.

 

I live in Dekalb, where are you talking about?

 

logan liquors in (shockingly enough) logan square has coffee in the cooler. 22.99. not cheap, but not outrageous

 

So it kinda sounds like BCBCS is tuning into a mini-BCBS...insane hunt for the first batch of deliveries and then popping up (relatively) easily on the second round of much wider distribution. Not that I expect to see this on the shelves of Jewel/Dominicks (or any shelf for that matter), but the initial craziness may have been a bit unnecessary.

 

imo too early to call it there. let's see what it's like in two weeks. i'm willing to bet that demand is still greatly outpacing supply, unlike regular bcbs. only reason i went and bought more regular today was i needed it for a trade.

 

Kenosha woodmans just got some of both in, only two cherries though. Not sure on the price

Two individual cherries soaked in normal BCBS. It's like atomic cherries with beer.

Either way I was glad to hear theyre getting plenty of coffee!

The Lakeview Binny's had 3 Cherry this morning, I was fourth in line, bummer.

 

I don't know what the problem is, Cherry Rye is readily available in Chicago -- to wit:

WTF?
I was in Foremost yesterday. Guy said the price was $25. Since I've already got a few bottles and the AH Binny's got theirs in yesterday I decided to pass. Apparently the price went up as the night progressed.
Would also note this place got Cherry in as well, where as both the Arlington Hts Binny's and Dobby's have been shut out.

 

I just picked up one of each from Evanston First. Not cheap, but within reason. Two bottles of cherry and a case of coffee were left after my purchases.
