Cigar City Brewing announces Friday, March 13 for Hunahpu’s Day 2020

I don't think they've even been close to having a tap list available by now in the last couple of years.

If it weren't for the switch to Friday I'd go for sure. I can't run the BA day to Huna night gambit.

What do you need to see? There's always a bunch of world class breweries that being world class beer. Of all the bitching over the years about Huna Day, I don't think I've ever heard of anyone bitch about the tap list.

 

Wonder how they’re going to handle getting everybody checked in and admitted? Hopefully there won’t be a “Thundering Herd” dashing up the escalators when the event starts.

 

Hopefully multiple entrances, vip special line..

 

VIP tickets should have a separate line this year.

For anybody local (or who can meet me in the area some time that week) who isn’t going to the fest but wants this year’s bottles I can split out a few sets from my VIP package.

I still want to see a map of how its going to be set up. Really dont want to be drunk climbing stairs from floor to mezanine

 

Any idea what the plan for food will be this year? I really liked the food trucks the past years. I don't want to spend $20 on a sh*tty hamburger from the stadium.

 

The app does claim that it's going to take place over two floors.

Tickets include "several beer / food pairing stations located inside the arena where light bites can be sampled as part of the event", but arena concessions will also be open.

 

I'm sure I'll mildly regret it in the end, but right now I'm not disappointed at all that I won't be making the trip for the first time in several years.

Still got my eye on it to see how it goes.

 

Im still on the fence for HUNA. right now I have AC Super Rad thursday, Cycle BA Day Friday at noon then AC/Cycle Confection Affection Sat. May spend Friday night at Arkane..

 

That's the thing--the side parties are starting to be the main draw, there's just so many and their hype is outrageous. It almost had me going just for that. But last year and the year before, I just spent so much time (and money) in lines. Huna was still the most fun out of it all.

The one thing I regret missing the most is Arkane. I've had a blast hanging there the past few years, especially when it was more mellow, and now that they have an official party I'm a little bummed about it.

 

not sure which vendors will be open, but for bolts games there are actually a bunch of great options. fingers crossed portillos is open

 

The Hunahpus's Day 2020 app has been updated with beer lists for 95% or so of the breweries. Don't see this info on the web yet.

 

While maps are not posted, it does show they will be using two floors. I really see myself getting hammered and never going up and down the stairs. I’m looking forward to the event but fear a train wreck.

 

There is another beer fest that uses the arena and it's been going on for a few years so I assume it must workout somehow.
