Just saw a Head Brewer position posted for Luce Line Brewing Co. Does anyone know anything about this company? Says Minneapolis 55441 and that it is a 2,000-barrel brewery.

They are “new” to the scene, I reckon:

Luce Line Brewing lists an address as 12901 16th Avenue North, Plymouth, Minnesota. This is just off Highway 55 and in fact is very near the Luce Line trail. If this comes to pass, this will be the first for Plymouth.

Are you sure they filtered it? You'd be surprised what gravity+time can do

The owner / brewer also told me they filter it.

It continues to aggravate me that this place cannot/will not improve their beers.

I doubt if they have much incentive to improve.

Locals will continue to go there because there's no place else close. And there are always plenty of people (especially in the 'burbs) who drink craft beer because it's trendy, but don't have a clue what it should taste like. If you doubt that, let me just say "Lakes & Legends".

The beer is pretty much terrible! I’ve had one or two beers that tasted better than bad home brew. Don’t bother telling them because they’ve got every excuse why “you” are wrong including beer judges and cicerones have told them they are on point. It’s BS, basically locals that don’t know good beer & soccer or softball parents from the sports complex. There’s no incentive to change.

All they need is a Hoops or someone consulting to help them build recipes or consult but it’s clear this will be their Final Act... Hate saying this because I’d like them to succeed. But if you won’t even take feedback I’m not willing to go back with my hard earned money a 3rd time.

Not limited to the 'burbs. Selection may be more limited, but chasing trendiness damn the taste is hardly limited to there.

Wow...reading some of those google reviews.... No samples and $7 pints of mediocre beers.... Yikes.

Yes, I would like them to succeed, too! The owner / brewer has been a homebrewer for 30 years and they seem not to understand their beer is not good at all. That is troublesome, especially when you take in the defensiveness. This is a "recipe" for a quick closing.
I went onto their website and their West Coast IPA is 4.7%. Their Berliner is 6%. Their Imperial Stout has 14 IBU's. Should I continue....? Time to hire Hoops or a competent brewer with some chops. Sorry, but true.

They've been around for over a year now, and whenever I drive by in the afternoon/evening, the parking lot is pretty full. Location, and lots of people who (as pearceweb said) don't know better.

So, I'll continue to be happy that Junction 70 is around the corner from my house.

Totally agree. Having lived both "in the city" & "in the suburbs" for long stretches of time each, I can tell you there are stupidities common to city dwellers & suburban dwellers alike. Anybody who says otherwise is deluded.

That said, I've never even heard of this place, or if I have, I'd forgotten about it. Given the, ah, not glowing reviews, I think it's a place I can safely forget about again.

I guess 3rd Act Brewing doesn't distribute. They only sell growlers & crowlers.
Production is about 400 bbls per year? Is that true? That's like 30 bbls / 60 kegs a month...
There are eight 20 bbl tanks in this picture.......... I...don't...get....it....

They toss out the bad batches and are only keeping the good stuff around? Then again, maybe it's flipped...

Lol, I don't even know how I'd react to that. I'd like to think I'd walk out the door.

I'm not wasting my time hitting 3rd Act.

I did get a chance to stop by Falling Knife a couple times recently and was very impressed with what they are doing.
