Anyone heard anything about SMM on Tuesdays tomorrow? Planning on getting out there tomorrow but can’t find any information to confirm that it’s happening.

Yes, it's happening. Emails went out yesterday with details + it's on social.

    Cheers,

Wait...anniversary festival going public? Did I read that correctly? Doesn't bode well.

However, food truck options are a solid improvement and everything else looks great

Website details sound a little better... it's public but members have two hour early entry. 11am-4pm for members, 1pm-4pm for public. Two hours is a lot of lead time to drink what we want. Also the guest breweries look amazing.

I saw that and yeah this is true however, new limits are increased so I'm curious how it will affect things. I like that the member ticket allocations increased I'm just on the fence about how big this ends up.

Yeah, ticket limits basically doubled and they have 10 food trucks lined up so their expected count must be pretty massive. Hopefully they tell the breweries to bring enough beer.

Wow. A lot of changes for the anniversary party. Love the 5 hours and 2 hours for members only. Also love that they are changing up their food options which needed to be done. Price point is great too. Nice list of breweries as expected. Only think I worry about is how massive this is going to be with all the tickets members get this year and this year being open to the public. Hope it’s not too crowded.

I'm down with the price and everything, but I do wish there was earlier entry for Hoarders.

Also, looks like tickets are only guaranteed until March 18th.

Don't love the new price, love the rest. The food handling has been consistently been the worst thing about Bruery events so going full food truck is the best possible news. The ticket limits are a huge plus too. Not having DD tickets is a MASSIVE minus though, I hope they reconsider since it means I'll lose out on several friends attending since they won't be able to bring nondrinking spouses

Yeah, having food trucks will fix the biggest problem.

No DD ticket is a problem for me. But I understand if that is their direction moving forward.

Combine this with no public transit options and what could be a huge rideshare back up.

Keeping my fingers crossed they come through with good shuttle options.

Also, I assume members only early entry means members and their guests.

its really disappointing that its open to the public. the fact that hoarders get no extra time is disheartening. the lines will be massive. the early 2 hour window will not mean much since the last 2 years the breweries have staggered the tapping of more popular kegs till later in the event.

Wait no hoarders early access anymore? So reserve and hoarders at same time?

Way excited for this now. I was one that was always wanting a couple more tickets and now I don't know what to do with 8 even. Love the idea of all of the food trucks and just being able to pick a meal from them. I hope this area is really big though because I imagine it's going to be way more people so spreading out the breweries/lines would be nice

Also, any thoughts on Black Tuesday Reserve, Meemaw's Famous Sticky Bun Stout, or Apple Falls Far?

Is Apple Falls Far supposed to be similar to Apfelsap?

Early Untappd reviews are looking pretty meh for everything other than Reserve. I think I'll be passing on everything but more Reserve.

Meemaw's was okay and I thought AFF was pretty good.

Meemaw's hit the adjuncts well but something seemed a little thin in the base beer. Might be a lack of barrel aging? I wanted this treatment on something thicker and a little stickier. At $8 post discount, I still grabbed a can so will give it another go some other time.

AFF shares the sweet apple similarity with Apfel but is quite different. Apple and a hint of cinnamon (it's not overdone) right at the start, but it's the finish that makes it interesting. Maybe due to the Scotch barrel addition, but almost has a faint smoky flavor which it took me a sip or too to adjust to, but which I thought worked well. I sort of went in with Apfelsap in mind so had to adjust. I still like Apfelsap better (it's probably my current favorite of all right now), but will grab at least an extra bottle of this. Would get more but I'm just starting to get my cellar under control.
