I'm unfortunately going to have to miss the festival this year due to a conflict, but there's very little I'm hearing that would have discouraged me from coming if I could have. My only real beef is that HS members and their guests should have gotten the first hour to themselves.

I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes. The brewery list looks incredibly solid!

 

Agreed, the hope is they blow it out of the water with the hoarders beer offerings.

I agree but what if you've been "done with the Bruery since 2017" and compared them to "an old GF who got fat and ugly" (1)

and yet you are still hanging out in their Society thread 3 years later, "expressing you opinion." If someone has no interest in the beers and are just here to shitpost a brewery they never buy, idk man sounds to me like this person might need a hobby and/or some fresh air.(2)

(2) if I can’t express my opinion then so be it. Maybe you all need thicker skin, and it sounds like it starts at the top.

 

Definitely bummed about the lack of DD tickets at the festival. I like the food setup though (shout-out to Papa Dads). I've only been to the 2018 and 2019 Anniversary parties and they were both great from my experience, so hoping this one goes off well despite the location change and opening to the public.

 

Going to skip the party this year. Not really excited about most of the changes made this year, and not having any special dispensations for Hoarders is pretty disappointing. I’m sure you will all have a great time though. Can’t wait to read about it here!

 

Anyone know how can shippers work? I just ordered one for the first time, along with four 12-bottle shippers, to clean out my 2019 orders and was a little surprised to receive all the bottles yesterday but no cans. Do they go out separately? Are they through GSO like bottles are?

 

I’m not sure if you’re referring to me or the other dude, actually I’m not sure what you’re talking about at all. But I stand by the statement that this is an entertaining thread to read. It’s like if craft beer got it’s own cheesy reality tv show. Oh the drama!

What’s the shipping time looking like these days? I ordered a 12 bottle shipper, think I’ll get it this week or next? Really looking forward to that BT Reserve!

 

Opened the Bois Brandy I got from the set in last year's Anniversary sale. Super good. Like really really really good.

 

The can shipper is a smaller Styrofoam insulated box. I've not ordered a can shipper at the exact same time as a bottle shipper, but I can't think of any reason they would not have gone out at the same time. A box is a box. And yes, they ship GSO just like the bottle shippers.

Did you order all of the shippers at the same time?

It took a little over two weeks for my last bottle shipper. But that was at the end of February. I half expected the delay due to 2019 cellar cleanup. I just ordered a can shipper. Hopefully they are back up to speed.

My boxes arrived ~1.5 weeks after ordering the shipper, but like brewaddict said, late February is probably one of the busiest times for them.

 

Any thoughts on 2020 BT Reserve?

 

With the way things are going, I feel like there is a high likelihood of the Anniversary Party getting cancelled. Hopefully this stuff dies down well before then.

 

Yeah kinda hesitant to buy tickets right now. I’m sure getting a refund if cancelled won’t be an issue, but it’s still a few hundred dollars worth of tickets that might not be put to use.

 

I'm certain there won't be any Corona at the anniversary festival. Maybe bring your own TP though.... Plague or shine, I'm going. Bring out yer drunks!
