That sounds like an error on our end if you've never been a PS member. Can you shoot me an email to help us troubleshoot: [email protected]

Split a Port BT over last night and tonight. It really is excellent. If you're looking at the Archive Sale... go for it.

I usually enjoy these beers slightly more on the first night, but this one I enjoyed the second night more; no need for friends who always feel second night is better to chime in

I think what's great about this one is that while it is sweet, it's not nearly as sweet or cloying as I might expect an actual port to be. So, you get to actually focus more on the vinous flavors.

I tend to bring only 2, maybe 3 beers because of this. Some homies just bring too much and can't control themselves popping bottles.

There is no way the party is going to happen at this point. We are going to be dealing with COVID-19 well into the summer, possibly longer. Social distancing is going to be the standard until we have a vaccine. By all reporting that’s at least 1 year out from now. Welcome to the new normal, folks.

Honestly I can't believe it still says non-refundable under the ticket allocation:rolling_eyes:

I tend to think "non-refundable" means if they hold the event, you can't get a refund, which is standard. They already indicated they would refund if they cancel. Personally, I would be OK with a credit. Its not like I'm not going to spend that amount of money in the coming year.

Having said that, leaving this hanging is starting to get borderline irresponsible..

I've assumed they are waiting to announce once they have a reschedule date/plan in-place.

It just seemed a bit of a stretch to keep promoting/pushing the early bird purchase period during a time with so much doubt. It seems pretty obvious now the event won’t be happening as originally planned. Gov. Newsom just said yesterday, he doesn’t envision sporting events being held with fans, even in September.

It’s a shame because the lineup was another great one. You can definitely tell they put a lot of time into this year’s festival with all the changes.

Has anyone heard anything about the welcome gifts yet?
    I mean, I know it’s only April.

I spoke to the crew in DC and they said this month (April)was when to expect the merch. That was the end of February, so things may have changed between then and now.

There was an email in March that said their supplier was having issues. I think they said revised date was TBD for now.

I feel like this is a struggle year after year. Members have to wait for merch three four months into the year. Be nice if they got their shit together. Hoarders window in short so they know how many member they will and what needs to be ordered. I get that the window for reserve gets longer each year but I’m sure they have a magic number to where it’s full.

Enjoying a Poterie very much right now. Poterie was pretty hot when it came out. Still quite warm, but not harsh. It's got the most "Bruery tang" of the Anniversary beers that I can recall (not good or bad, just notable). Carbonation has mellowed a lot so it's fairly cloying (as with most older Anniversaries). I don't pick up any oxidation at all.

I feel like 2016 was the low point in terms of Bruery struggling with quality control and consistency scaling batch sizes. Everyone raves about pre-2015 beers, and I feel like with 2018 folks were often surprised with, "oh, this beer is the best it's been in a while" (i.e. BT). Poterie seems to have weathered that storm and come out a respectable vintage of a great beer.

Logistics can be very tough, especially when buying high volumes of customized things.

This year it's easy to find a reason as to why it's taking awhile. But, things happen, suppliers back out, it's the way it is.

I'm in no rush, as long as we get it before the halfway point into the year, I'm fine.

It's not really a "welcome" gift at that point, but like you said w/e.

I just want a new Whaleshark though. I don't feel like I open "that" many waxed bottles, but for some time now, the metal piece with the teeth bends out of the way, and it's sort of "soft" so even after I straighten it, it bends when you actually go to pry to top off, and it slips off and fails to open.

Usually I will use the teeth to cut through the wax, then switch to another opener for the actual cracking. I've got a whole process down but it was way better when the Whaleshark was working.

Maybe I should email WS about just sending me a new metal piece...
