Bruery RS/HS Allocations (2020)

Today's allocations email blast:

"Included Welcome Gift - Due to the current COVID-19 situation, our manufacturing partners for our included merch elected to shutdown production. We apologize for the delay with these unforseen circumstances but will continue to keep you updated as the situation develops."

 

That would be much easier to believe/digest/fall for, if it wasn’t pretty much the same every year.

 

at this point, they have to be calling off the party, right? how have they not announced the postponement yet?

FYI Hoarder Allocation email yesterday said they'd have a party update on the 15th.

 

Picked up orders yesterday, including some from this month. Looking forward to trying some things in the next few week. Opened a Sticky Chunk last night--this one is a winner! The adjuncts are very balanced and sit well on the base beer. Lots of barrel flavor.

My only adjustment would be to sub out the almonds for walnuts. Anyone remember M15? (I think that was it). Same treatment but with walnuts and was fantastic. Suffered from infection issues which I was fortunate to avoid. Nothing against almond (and it's delicious here), but seems like we've had a lot of almond beers.

Thanks for the notes. Was waiting to hear something but realized that it might be a while before that happens. I was really impressed by Icky. So I maxed Sticky. Haven't tried Corona virus speed shipping yet but hopefully I'll get them early to mid next week.

 

Aww yeah... Just got shipping alert that flex shipper is coming tomorrow. I think my game plan is basically the same as @juji23 (plus Sticky). Crowler of Bakery Boysenberry comes first though while fresh.

 

When did you order your shipper? My last one took a couple weeks. I ordered another one today, hopefully they’re not as backed up.

 

Wednesday morning... Maybe just before noon-ish.

I think folks were reporting a huge backlog last month... Probably from people dealing with 2019 cellared orders.

I don't know whether ordering a crowler might have moved me to the top of the queue or not... or maybe they're just caught up.

Not a member anymore, but damn I want this. I love chili beers, Melange #10 rocked my world.

 

Pro Tip! If you get a 12-bottle flex shipper, they can squeeze a couple 16oz single cans into the nooks on the top of the packaging insert. Bonus shipping value!

 

Funny thing about this one is it is far more pineapple forward then chili. The chili is subtle, but works really well.

This was my #2 in the BT box, with #1 being Blueberry Pancake.

 

Same here! Blueberry Pancake was spectacular with Spicy Island in a surprising second place and I am NOT normally a fan of spicy beers. Pineapple forward with a nice mellow spice afterthought/kick.

 

Stay-at-home just got extended til May 15 for California, that's the nail in the coffin for the Anniversary party, sorry ya'll
