Cheers @JamFuel and thanks for kicking off the thread... drinking something I haven’t had in a bit, and doesn’t really need to be introduced to you all, except it’s the 2020 edition:

Nice! Also a beer that ages beautifully! I had a 2007 bottle at the same time as a 2019 bottle last year, and it's so different, but still familiar.

Never had a really “vintage” one but no doubt it’s one that hold up well... Skål!

[IMG] After tossing and turning I decided to just get up. Going to be a beautiful Memorial Day Weekend in NH. These guys can brew killer NEDIPAs up in Orono Maine. Cheers all.

Poured into a 16 oz Nordic pint glass canned May 5th. Pours a very hazy orange yellow with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves thick streaks of lace with amazing retention.4.75

Smell is tangerine, pineapple, papaya, melon, vanilla, and apricot. 4.25

Taste follows but even bigger and better. Tangerine, papaya, honeydew, pineapple, vanilla, and apricot, amazingly balanced and really easy drinking. 4.5

Mouthfeel is bigger than average, soft gentle creamy carbonation, a tad sticky but never dry, and at 8% it drinks that way but goes down far too easy. 5

Overall another winner from Marsh Island. They often use lactose when brewing this style and I must say it always works very well. Excellent stuff. 4.5

I never had a box of beer, or a box of birds, but wouldn't turn down either. Sticking with the European beer theme, Rothaus Pils is shipping these beers regularly to Chicago, people are enthusiastically picking the shelves clean.

Wishing all an excellent beer Saturday!

[IMG] Oops was thirsty and needed a second glass of juice. The palate is on today and this one is very different from the other, really tasty just the same.

I love this movie, but this gun makes no sense. At all. Joining @belvedere86 with some west coast shenanigans.

Opened a Maplewood Fat Pug oatmeal stout that was a few years old. I think I may have let it age too long. Taste reminded me of Sprite. So now drinking this.

@scream, this beer is very special! It arrived in my area on Thursday afternoon, but it has not made an appearance in your area, yet. I will save one for you in case you cannot acquire any. The bakery one block from my house claims to have the best kringle in North America, and I do not dispute that, as my kids like going to that bakery for various items, and I usually grab some kringle samples. This beer is worthy of its name. The smell and flavor are incredible! I watched the new Enslaved video seven times last night. @superspak, what do you think of the new Enslaved song?

Have a good Saturday. I ate a bunch of junk food and watched The Grand Tour last night, so it was a good time. I don't feel like I need to eat for another 2 days after that one. Jalapeno Cheetos, Corn chips/Queso, and mini chocolate donuts. Also turned on the A/C for the first time, and put a box fan in my bedroom to cool things down a bit.

Bell's Hopslam. Incredible as usual this year. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, white bread, light caramel malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, medium-full bodied, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter resin/rind dryness, no hop astringency. Amazing classic Columbus, Chinook, Centennial, Amarillo, Simcoe profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; with a great balanced malt backbone. Not overly sweet or bitter, extremely well balanced. Lightly boozy alcohol, but dangerously easy drinking. Never disappoints. Feels less sweet than last year. Also a lot easier to find when released.

    Cheers

@GreenBayBA new Enslaved sounds like Enslaved so it's great stuff. I woke up with black metal on my mind.

Good day BAs! Off to the weekend here in the green zone - my son and I were supposed to fly out of Canada to Germany on Monday for a week of beer in Bavaria/Franconia but that's been cancelled, so hopefully next year. The rains set in again yesterday but those three days of dryness allowed me to get my garden tilled and planted so WAHOO! Otherwise, life goes on and on and on...

Disappointing (3.11) but then most of Bell's stuff seems pretty bland to me - even my favorite of Bell's - Smitten - seems like they left the rye out.
