    Lunch beer, another Cumbre Acclimated. 8 mile run earlier, before the heat hits. Just another 90 degree day here on the Front Range. Good for the garden though.
    I still miss John Prine. Only saw him once, live, in Austin - but he's one of the greatest song-writers of the last 40-50 years in my opinion (whether or not you like his voice).

    Went to the store today for the first time in months?? It was fairly empty at the 8 AM hour. Grabbed some tall boys I haven't had and brought them home with a sixer of 40th Anniversary that turned out to be 6 months old??
    The Tropic Of Thunder turned out good in spite of being 3 months old.

    Nice - never heard of this guy (Josh Ritter). Yeah, I probably do live under a rock sometimes. Good discovery - thanks for sharing. Puttin that on my listening list.

    Kicking off yet another day of SIP Fest 2020 with Alesmith's Forgeberry.

    It's fine. It tastes like a kettle sour with raspberry juice added to it. At least the kettle sour flavor isn't overwhelming, I really don't enjoy that.

    Activity today is approaching the end game of my wife's birthday cake -- crumb coat done and waiting for the whole thing to cool down for final frosting and decoration. Going to need to make a little more frosting, though.

    No music at the moment -- although Mrs. snaotheus and I took today and tomorrow off, the kids are still "in school," and it's best not to offer them distractions.

    head is thicker, stickier, longer lasting. More mainstream AAL scents; light malt. Still a light and indistinct beer taste. The body is light with a modicum of body.

    Some general improvements this go around, yet still a mediocre AAL...

    Outstanding pale straw yellow body; minimal carbonation; thin, white head; patchy fingers of foam stick to the glass. Fair aroma; a little honey and corn. Some bright sweetness to the taste and a bit of bitterness appearing towards the finish; a touch of adjunct corn taste is also in the mix. Light body; thin yet crisp; semi-dry.

    Even for an adjunct lager, this beer is pretty mediocre, especially when it comes to taste and mouthfeel. I can see this being a decent beer for a summer cookout or a ball game or at the beach.

    #600 rating/review. Another new beer for Monday. More California beer. Pretty much a Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Light but damn good. Wifey is making the Cincinnati Chili today.

    Ain't Nothing Nice from Other Half. We'll see about that. I wish I could rely on my ratings/reviews, but I simply can't. I have too many that I need to log right now, but I'm not inspired.     The U.K have a lot of very interesting breweries, many doing cool stuff with IPAs. This is a west coast IPA by Pressure Drop from London. Good bitterness and the classical grapefruit and pine notes, but a softness and balance that makes it very drinkable.
