This post is very out of character and I’m sure I’ll completely regret it because I love my privacy but I’m going to post up my dad and I because I’m happy he is my dad. Ten years ago on this day I graduated the fire academy and he was there for it. Ten years later he is still here. I’m the oldest of 7 so my man has work cut out for him. Happy father day to all the fathers. A role model and a good father is everything. Sharing this beer with him in a minute. Cheers all.

Trying new things with Henry Weinhard's Special Reserve. It's not bad. Not expecting it to be a fantastic example of a lager.

Father's day celebration today was breakfast in bed -- homemade country fried steak, egg, bacon, and a giant mug of a boozy iced coffee beverage. I had to go back to bed because the kids slept in much later than me.

That pine cone sorta resembles a hop, yes?
My 7 year old daughter makes all manner of arts and crafts using pine cones. The kid's hands are perpetually sticky from pine resin.

 

I was at the recording of the LP on the right. I am featured before, during, and after Hammer Smashed Face in the video. I am especially proud of the drum-fill that I performed in the pit that was featured prominently. My favorite part is when they show me super-excited with my mouth wide-open right up front before the song!
