Just got out of a virtual meeting, so needed to crack a beer. Here's Strata Premium, a 6.4% IPA with Strata... naturally... and a sprinkling of Simcoe. Released 6/17.

It's got a full pineapple nose, and a more lemon-y taste with some berries sprinkled in. That Simcoe then delivers some WC bitterness and resin on the finish. Definitely tasting better today than day 1. Happy Wednesday all!

As selfishly as I want baseball back, it's a hard pass for me if it's at the detriment to the safety and well-being of anyone involved. Just look at Novak Djokovic. More money than you could shake a stick at, and surrounded by people smarter than him advising him not to participate in exhibition tennis. Yet he does. Now he's tested positive, along with the wife, and many others. And for what? SMDH...

I'm having a Liquid Truth Serum IPA from Dogfish Head. It's fruity as all hell. Aromas and flavors of lemon, honeydew, orange, lime & papaya. I think I got this can well past its peak, because Bound Beverage of Warrington PA puts old stuff out on their singles aisle, but it's still pretty good

To be honest, I'm not really missing baseball. My Mariners have been the most over-priced minor league team for 20 years and it's really hard to watch them anymore.

Man, I don't know. A die-hard Mariners fan could always claim they saw A-Rod and Griffey in their primes, not to mention Randy Johnson, and King Felix. And, I didn't even mention Edgar Martinez. Not every team can win the World Series, but almost nearly every team can play entertaining baseball. Just ask Yankees fans that lost to the Mariners in the '95 ALDS. Peace...

I told the gf that I'm interested in sampling this one, not finishing it. I do not like (typically) triple IPAs. Nope, not at all. Cheers.

Funny you brought up the Yankees, I still remember Billy Martin compared playing in the Kingdome to "Playing on a f*cking ping pong table" in an interview. Ah better times

I have no problem saying that I’m not a Green Cheek fan boy. They do make good beer, but no IPA yet has “wowed” me. So far my favorite beers have been Coco Mesa (Coconut Rye Stout,) and New Adventures (Golden Coffee Stout). At the moment I’d prefer if Evan were still at Noble making West Coast bangers, rather than ok-ish Hazy’s.

Agreed 100%...idk the full story with Novak but sounds like they were not being all that cautious with this event. I do wonder about those reported testing positive in the media and if they are even symptomatic or what to truly believe anymore?

    Anyways on with the pours...

Day off tomorrow, so Gonna gave a couple of beers. Starting with Touch Sensitive by North Brewing, a NE DIPA. North are hitting all the targets and ticking off all the boxes for me right now. This is a stellar beer, that can go toe to toe with any NE DIPA.

I could really delve into this one, truly. However, I won't. It's not my thing. I love you all.

Old Nation M-43. Amazing NEIPA as always. Flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, orange juice, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, lemon zest, orange peel, and light pepper/pine hops; with wheat, biscuit dough, light honeyed malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, grassy, zesty, citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; very creamy, bready, grainy wheat/oats, and light hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very dank/juicy hops, with perfect wheat, oat, malt malt balance. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness, amazing soft feel. Super easy drinking. Glad to have this as a year round available beer. This is one of my top most purchased beers ever at the moment. It just doesn't get any better for the style vs availability. Every Old Nation NEIPA is better than most anything else I've had in the state. DDH is just as impressive; but a bit more bitter, resinous, dank, and earthy.
