Clear, light gold body; lively carbonation; one-finger thick head, rich and soapy and lasting. Soft fruitiness on the noes; musk melon; sweet green grass. Subtle biscuit malt base; balanced esters; low-key and complementary hop bitterness bringing a fullness to the taste. Soft and warm on the palate; smooth and spongy; lightly sweet throughout with an exquisite dryness developing at the finish.

This is a beautifully made classic pilsner style from New Hampshire. It is obviously crafted with an eye towards quality and drinkability. A very fine beer...

Personally, I prefer this unedited master cut from the latest Frank Zappa release than the shorter version I shared yesterday...

This is a rather nice NE style Pale Ale that may be a bit too sweet for my personal taste, but kinda balances that out with some bitter, herbal and spicy notes, while also featuring some rather distinct and fairly juicy tropical notes of passion fruit and pineapple.

    Thanks!

I cannot speak for other people, but what I post I drink (at that particular moment), not much else to do nowadays!

ps-and if you noticed, I was drinking mostly low abv German beers. My days of drinking a 6-pk of DIPA are over! Cheers!

pps-it helps that it is not a working day! :grinning:

I am interested in your opinion on the blue can “Classic” compared to the white/yellow can “American Lager”. A 30 rack is how Classic sold and I need to be all in. :beers:

I prefer glassware. However, there are 3 that will always get consumed via can. Focal, Heady, and Tröegs Perpetual. Cheers.

It's a bright, sunny day here near Pittsburgh, PA and we're having a birthday party in the backyard with water ballons and a blow-up pool for the kids. After getting soaked, I'm sitting here with this beautiful German Helles. Perfect for the moment.

    Augustiner-Bräu - Edelstoff (5.7%) - My overall rating = 4.38

A - Golden-straw with a 1-finger white head that dropped quickly leaving mild lace.
S - White bread, white grape, grassy and floral hops.
T - Delicious. Everything I like in a Helles. The white grape sweetness is very present over an enticing french bread (minus the crust) malt base. The noble spicing is perfect with honey and floral notes. Bitterness is low but enough to balance the lingering fruit/grain sweetness.
    M - Light-medium body and carbonation. Smooth.
    O - Top notch; really.
