I don't remember trying the 'American Lager'. I'm more familiar with the blue and red cans with a couple of the newest limited released beers.

For all I know, the new 'Classic' label stuff is just like the old blue and red cans and / or the 'American Lager' beers, just labeled differently. The wizard of all things beer @jesskidden may be able to better answer your question.

Revolution Brewing -- Café Deth (macho gracious to Señor @jkblr for another brute of a beer)...

Black as India ink; decent, lasting, light tan head. Rich smell of cocoa, mocha, coffee grounds, some vanilla. Sweet notes of milk chocolate, coconut and vanilla; alcohol presence is there yet well-hidden with the malt sweetness, only really opening up at the finish. Heavy, slick and oily mouthfeel; dense, muted residual sugars; boozy heat rises near the finish.

Another rich and boozy taste treat from Revolution Brewing. Highly recommended for fans of barrel-aged RIS'...

White Elm Copperpot Imperial Pastry Stout, 14% ABV. Brewed with ice cream so needs to be kept refrigerated. Incredible, as many of their stouts are.

While this makes for a decent Belgian IPA, it's clearly a terrible NEIPA, which it's kinda branded as, and just feels really neither here nor there all in all. It's sort of like a lighter Duvel that's less heavy on the estery yeast and slightly more focussed on the hoppy citrus accents.
