They have been real sloppy with their ABV for a bit.

Of the HDHC cans I got to try: Roc Showers, ACE, Dream In Green, AME and Dream City, Dream City was the clear winner, super reminiscent of OG Green Power (which was such a whoa beer for me after drinking so much OH at the time) but one level up better.

DDH SD. Far less herbaceous than recent Galaxy beers I've had. Not sure if it's the new crop or I'm crazy. B+/A-.
Will not change your life, buy though if you miss solid SD.
Also, small green everything should be 12oz 6 packs. Very solid session, which given other half's spotty low ABV record in my opinion, is a bright spot.

HDHC Water Balloon (and DDH too) is breaking the cost structure

    Should be:

    Base ($16)
    Imperial ($2)
    Collab ($2)
    HDHC ($4)

    =$24

They’re giving us a 2 buck discount on each. Lucky us!

Freaky Friday is back, this time featuring a favorite from @monkishbrewing Available in the taproom all weekend, read below for release info. We saved some for our Home Delivery zones this weekend. We also have some strictly OH beers to round out your order. ⠀
    ⠀
DDH Water Balloon Fight Club Imperial IPA (8.4%) Freaky Friday with @monkishbrewing This is a Double Dry Hopped version of Monkish's Water Balloon Fighters with Mosaic, Citra, and Simcoe hops! We are excited to be putting our selected lots of these hops - some of our favorite domestic hops - to the test brewing this classic Monkish beer. $20 per 2 pack, limit 2 per person. ⠀
    ⠀
HDHC Water Balloon Fight Club Imperial IPA (8.4%) We can't miss the opportunity to not only brew this classic beer but also give it the HDHC tweak. We jammed CItra and Mosaic Incognito and Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe Cryo into this beer already packed with T-90's of each hop to make it even hoppier than usual. $22 per 4 pack, limit 4 per person. ⠀
    ⠀
Triple Cream Imperial Oat Cream IPA (10%) Triple dry hopped Imperial Oat Cream IPA with Citra, Eukanot, Kohatu + Wai-iti with a final dry hop of Citra lupulin powder and Galaxy. $22 per 4 pack. ⠀
    ⠀
Motueka Daydream Oat Cream IPA (6.5%) Our hand-selected Motueka hops from @freestylehops in NZ are highlighted in our classic oat cream style. $16 per 4 pack. ⠀
    ⠀
    --⠀⠀
    Release Info:⠀
    ⠀
Freaky Friday releases will happen via Curbside, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 11am each day.⠀⠀
    ⠀⠀
Pickup will begin when the tap room opens, but please don't come to the brewery before you receive an email saying your order is ready. All other beers are available at all times, as usual. ⠀⠀⠀
    ⠀⠀
**You must complete checkout to be guaranteed the beer. Having it in your cart does not mean you will get it. It will sell out quickly, if you don't get it try again at the next release.** ⠀⠀
    ⠀⠀
    --⠀⠀
If you're in a car, have your trunk open and do not block the driveway. The order must be picked up the same day, we cannot hold orders overnight. You do not need to be in a car for Curbside Pickup, but DO NOT FORM A LINE, please wear a mask and keep your distance from staff and other custo

Now that we are in the delivery world for a few months, I can honestly say I have no clue how they structure their delivery at the brewery haha. Curious how a beer is determined for delivery rather then pickup only (especially since delivery has maybe 4-5 options but pickup has about double that) and why is it that some new drops never see delivery whereas others do? HDHC for example is for delivery, but DDH is not. Is it because HDHC was a larger batch? It seems as though the current model is there to encourage foot traffic to the brewery, but then the overall pickup method they write on their posts contradicts just that, so who knows.

Yeah it seems pretty haphazard, I get that is a hard thing to do, where you have to pull stuff off curbside at times when little remains and it can be bought when you walk up. you don't want to oversell or anything and have to cancel on people. But I agree the messaging at times almost seems contradictory. Going to try for the Freak Friday stuff tomorrow possibly, I don't think I can make with the rain and work before the close tonight.

I will say it was insane last Thur I was there midday to pick up a few 4 packs I ordered and I saw several people loading at least 15 to 20 cases into their cars/SUVs

Last week is a tough week to base things off of since people were stocking up for the holiday weekend.

I agree though, I wish there was more consistency with their delivery options. I end up driving from LI to pick up since delivery doesn't have all options available.

Yeah its weird the mixed messaging with curbside/walk up and such. And there is not a way someone is just"stocking up" with 15-20 cases of beer...

I saw the same thing last Tuesday before the 4th... First time I had to wait more 5 minutes, watched 3 mules with 8, 12, and last one with 21 cases loading up. Took about 15 mins before I could get my 3 4-packs.

Maybe this is optimistic- but hopefully this is them acknowledging that ddh is the new normal and hdhc is the new “amped up”. Ie they’re telling us that we don’t need to face ongoing price increases for every new hop product/turbo charge.
    Like I said - optimistic

Drinking HDHC Triple Citra Daydream right now and can concur with the melon forward comments yall had previously. Personally I'm not a big fan of the melon profile which is why I avoid EQ usually. This is still a great beer, and the melon isn't too much for me

Water Balloon Fight Club is... underwhelming. I’ve had the Monkish version and OH really seems to have dropped the ball here. It’s a shame since all the other freaky fridays have been really good (and close to the original versions from what I’ve had.)

Driving to OH now on way out of Brooklyn to pick up my last ever order. Dropped $120 which is a big purchase for me. I saw they have a strata chroma so rolled the dice on a 4 pack of that (if someone got that and it’s shit leave me in ignorant bliss please)
