It's only available as part of their variety pack. I'll keep checking to see if it shows up in the build your own 6 shelves. It's in the taproom so I might take a drive up this weekend (35 miles)

    Capital idea!

If you are a fan of this beer maybe you could suggest to the powers that be they produce this beer as a standalone beer. It never hurts to ask.

    Cheers!

I would like to see more Pale Ales with traditional British hop varieties. No more than 5.5% ABV.

I would love to see more porters and an American craft version of English Mild. Ivory Bill Brewery of Siloam Springs Arkansas makes a very nice dark mild.

More properly non-alcoholic beers. In my country the cutoff traditionally is 2.8%. Almost like session! No, I'm a fan of "prohibition" stuff with a max of 0.5%. If only those 2.5-2.8 were 0-0.5! Would double up my local selection.

We have a common prohibition history though! Let's celebrate the infamous centennial!

In Finland the limit was set at a whopping 2% abv though. The American temperance movement went one step further with the less than one half of one percent. 2% is still non alcoholic in a practical sense, yet the flavor to me is more beer like than that of non alcoholic beers, I'm guessing it has to do with fermentation esters which are produced (as opposed to non alcoholic beers that remain unfermented) and maintained in the beer (as opposed to ones that undergo the dealcoholization process).

I agree though that 2.8% beer isn't non alcoholic if you drink a normal amount of beer throughout an evening. Though if one reads old Swedish governmental reports on beer you find that what the government thought was a normal amount of beer to consume in one sitting was no more than 1-2 11.2oz bottles (this assumption influenced the maximum abv allowed in beer sold in grocery stores). They were temperance minded after all. At that level of consumption even 2.8% beer can be considered non-alcoholic.

    Herb and Spice beer

The deep light brown murk that cometh with it, the scent of herbal mysteries doing its mysterious nasal thing as herbal scents have scientifically proven to do so. Staring, one gazes in splendid amazement, will the questionable ingredients sink to the bottom and become an unscrapable mess of manky thick brown gunk, ruining forever the crystal clearness of my favourite drinking glass in the process? Or will it float in the glass like peppery *********s. It looks either laced or medieval, you whiff it then down it. Being astonished evertime.

Does anyone remember Black Saisons? Kind of an absurd idea, with such a narrow potential for success. And so many ways to go wrong, each of which driven by the urge to overdo it.

But man, when it was done right? Yeah, I could do with that kind of thing again...

I'll sound like a broken record:

    Scotch Ales/Wee Heavies
    Old Ales
    Rauchbiers
    English Barleywines

Pretty much anything dark that does not have the words "Hazy," "Sour" or "Gose" in their titles/descriptions.
