Sad I'm missing the Hop Deluge, anyone grab a can please post your thoughts. I'm down to my last 5 OH cans and seriously anxious about the correct order of consumption. Do I save the Double Mosaic Dream or the ACE for last? So much pressure not to fuck this up!

I picked up a bottle of Black is Beautiful, alone with a 4-pack of Deluge and HDHC Water Balloon (honestly amazed it was still available.) I’m drinking a can of Deluge at the moment but don’t trust my buds enough to comment right now. Got Covid back in May and haven’t been able to taste the same ever since.

I’ll have another this weekend and report back.

Thanks man! Thankfully I didn’t have a bad case but the aftermath has been strange.

Saw a couple barrels of Cookie Kooks outside the brewery so that might be coming down the line.

Maybe you can make lemonade out of it, slash your beer budget and drink Steel Reserve until you taste buds come back.

Nooooo! Steel Reserve might kill whatever functional taste buds he has left.

Did we get a verdict on Strata Chroma or Small Strata? I can't bear the thought of buying solely for can color only to find out I've made a huge mistake.

had a similar experience. I got the 'rona in march. Felt sick as hell for 3 days and then all good with some mild chest stuff for a bit, but smell and taste were obliterated for 3 weeks, so hopefully you'll get it all back as well. Felt kind of unnecessary to buy any beer > $0.99 considering i couldn't taste the difference. At one point I was thinking about all the money I was going to save if it persisted. So happy I can waste money again. =)

Drinking Small Strata now...did not try the strata chroma but this is great. Has the dank berry flavor, nice and light, a good Friday end of day sipper.

Something I’ve been thinking the past few times visiting OH...with so many options available it would be helpful if they put a couple tasting notes to differentiate the IPAs. I feel like at this point my decision making is based on a mix of ABV, hop mixture, or nostalgia, I.e buying double mosaic cuz it was always so good. If I knew that one is more sweet or more melon or more citrus or more dry, etc it might make it easier.

Picked up both yesterday after seeing the positive feedback. Strata Chroma was indeed a great end of day beer. Looking forward to trying Small Strata tonight. Thanks all for your hard work!

HDHC Mylar drinking better. Less sweet. More like the dank/bitter/sweet mix I expected based on what people described the original taste profile to be like.

Was there a preference of Small Strata vs Strata Chroma? Didn't get any of the prior Strata beers from OH this year, but am going to stop today and was leaning Small Strata. Also any Hop Deluge reviews?

Sorry for the delay. Small Strata is enjoyable; drinking one now. Was going to have it last night but I ended up going back to the HDHC stockpile. I've been limiting myself to 1 can per night. As for the "let it sit for a bit" mantra, the HDHC stuff definitely better with time but not better than the DDH stuff IMO.
