Okay just walked to Rock Center to pick up OH beer.

First of all, I've never seen Rock Center without tourists before. Weird.

The prices for 4-packs are the same. I *think* (because I didn't pay attention) that single cans have a $1 premium.

They have like 4 wooden lounge chairs and their little truck. It pretty much overlooks the rink and it would be a prime place if everyone was working in the area. Great spot to grab a single train beer for the way home for $5 as well. This would be a steal of a location...if things were boom times I think.

They had 4 beers -- ACE, Pils, Superfun, and I think it was a Citra daydream...not sure. I snagged Interhalf Pilsner and ACE. Their larger signage only advertises "Pilsner", "Session IPA, "Single IPA", and "Double IPA". Makes sense for the target audience in the area I'm sure.

The Isamu Noguchi over the old AP News HQ entrance (think it is BoA now) is probably best public art in The City, if I was around I would crack a can and enjoy it.

If this Rock Center location lasts into fall that would be amazing. I don't know why its more tempting than the half mile walk home with cans and my own backyard. Guess I just miss Manhattan.

I mean, Bloomfield is a good 30+ minute drive (25+ miles) outside of the city of Rochester. That'd be similar to OH brewing in White Plains and calling it "OH NYC".

Is OH posting the Rock lineup anywhere?

To end this week we brought back the kooks with our friends @omnipollo but we didn't stop there. We also brewed up a crispy rice lager in case you want something on the lighter side. Available today, Friday, in the taproom. ⠀
    ⠀
Rum BA Cap’n Kooks Imperial Banana Coconut Garbage Cookie Stout (15.4%) with @omnipollo The kooks are back with a rum barrel aged pirate themed version of Cookie Kooks. Aged 18 months in rum barrels and conditioned on Banana, Coconut, Cap'n Crunch, Marshmallow Matey's, Pretzels, Potato Chips, Cacao Nibs, Coffee, Vanilla, Cinnamon and Milk Sugar. Not appropriate as a scurvy remedy. $24 per bottle. ⠀
    ⠀
Cap’n Krispies Puffed Rice Lager (4.5%) with @omnipollo You might need something crispy after swabbing the deck, hoisting the mainsail or even after a Cap'n Kooks. Brewed with pils malt and puffed rice and hopped with Saaz and Wai-iti with a small shot of Nelson Sauvin for some extra zing. $14 per 4 pack.

I didn't see it on IG. But, it's going to be what they have a lot of I would imagine. 4 varieties seems about right.

The location is really small and isn't a lot of storage and my 4-packs were warm when I picked them up. I wouldn't expect to go there and pick up cases. 4-packs and singles.

Haven't been drinking much lately but gonna pick some stuff up for me and some friends later.

    - Any thoughts on this SD batch? I know a month or two ago the hops were off
    - ACE still good as ever?

The SD batch from 2-3 weeks ago was solid. Not amazing but good, not earthy. I assume you're asking about ACDinSpace or whatever ridiculous spelling since SD isn't for sale anymore? But I think you're ok for Galaxy hops, improved over a few months ago on some tired hands I had that def had some earthiness.

Anyone know the hours of the Rock Center outpost? Do we know if they're still selling ACE?

I think there's better offerings on deck but if you still want the last SD batch, WF Gowanus nearby had it yesterday at $21/4pk. Still a weird sight.

Yes on ACE. don't know the hours. I was there at 6pm yesterday though.

Also this batch of ACE is fire. Liking it better than the HDHC Ace from a few weeks ago.

Someone really should teach a course on New York State geography... it seems to be incredibly difficult for people to understand.

They did a proper post (not story) for pop up. $9 for an ACE single vs $20 4 pack. That’s quite the fucking premium

My wife was just there and picked up some ACE (nice!). The hours are noonish to 8pm. They expect to be there through the summer.

I was actually getting along rather nicely beer-wise (no OH of course) despite working from home in Suffolk County since March due to COVID-19. But my office was in 1 Rock... so this new OH truck would have been less than a 30 second walk from the 49th St. entrance. NOW I'm pissed.:rolling_eyes:

Still had ACE and Pils when I was there a few hours ago. Pretty good setup though that area is tourist central
