Excellent picture! I grew up a Sox fan because of family, but back in the time where you can like both. Really liked their baby powder blue uniforms in the 1970s.

35th Anny Expedition. Absolutely tremendous. Originally intended to have 1 or 2 now and hide the rest of the 4 pack in the cellar, but I doubt I'll be able to show any restraint. I'll have to grab another 4 pack or 2. Cheers!

Brewing Projekt Weird Pop Cream Ale with Blood Orange and Jalapeño, 5.1% ABV. Pours hazy orange with no head, which of course leaves no lacing. Nose is orange and peppers. Taste follows with the orange prevailing, moderately sweet, moderate pepper heat, no bitterness. Well balanced sweetness and burn. Decent smooth mouthfeel, if a bit under-carbonated. Overall outstanding. Can't really tell it's a cream ale under the covers.

I think most people grow up a fan of whatever sports team because of family. I grew up in Champaign, and our block was split right down the middle Cubs/Cards fan. There was a lot of friendly pranks back and forth. I mean, I know the Cubs have sucked except for recently (I grew up with that ha), but even so. I remember a time the Cubs swept the Cards in a series, and my Dad had a toy rubber chicken, so we went out late at night to hang it on my neighbors tree. With a sign that said "Dead Birds". Well, while we were both in the tree, my neighbor came out in his underwear to take the garbage out. It was hilarious, as my Dad and I were trying to stay as still as possible, he finally looked up and we about fell out of the tree laughing

Oh and just another fun thing, the first Farm Aid happened on my birthday in my home town. I don't remember it cause I was only 3, but my parents and family always talk about it. Cause it was a huge deal, our house was only 4 blocks from the stadium, it was played at U of I, and having Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison all basically in our neighborhood at the same time, was something they never forgot.
