What Beer are You Drinking Now? #2914

Occasionally using a nice sampler glass like this for a special IPA helps me to slow down a bit and savor it instead of chugging.

 

Honestly I think I 5oz may make me want to chug even more. I could sip a 12oz or pint but a 5oz is like a challenge if i can drink it all at once.

12 oz. bottle.
Moderate pour yields a 1/2 inch off white head over a murky, pond sludge body with some lacing. Nose of spices, some pumpkin, and very little coffee. Taste is more of the same and still lacking in coffee. Good feel and overall, there, I tried it, and you should, too! (If only to keep me company as I try to get through this!) I'm (shudder!) starting to get used to it as the coffee and cream attributes are coming forward a bit, saving it from an early grave down the drain.

I’m actually somewhat impressed, the smoke comes through nicely 2.5 weeks in. That said, there is a bit of a metallic taste within this, and I’ll have to figure out if it’s distracting/detracting enough.

Side note to yous out there: don’t accidentally double-tap ‘e’ when searching Einstein, ‘e’ is too close to ‘w’ and auto-correct...

 

well, I don't feel like another stout, so going a bit lighter. Drinking through my stash of Tree House Eureka w/ Citra.

A buddy gave me one of these the other night (thanks Matt!) so what better beer to start today with than Lights Out?
Absolutely delicious. Basically a mild IPA right in form with any other Tree House I’ve had.

 

Have a good Monday. Slept in today again. Played some VR games with friends last night. Going to probably do more games later today. Planning on driving up to Michigan to get the rest of the stuff from my apartment tomorrow. A lot of people want to hang out with my up there as well. I had some freezer burned steaks, were good but tough.

I was talking to one of my friends all night, and he told me about the new Slipknot album. I haven't listened to them in over 10 years, but the whole album is a banger! Concept album as well.

A can from the back shelf of the fridge. It had a drink by date of October 21, eleven weeks after the canning date. Still very good.
