14.50 for zombie dust is at a good markup. some of the others 12.99 for gumball, alpha king and lazer snake, permanent funeral around 16.50. the 12 packs with their drop deal are kinda pricey at 21ish

Hey guys!! We've been lately giving people a pre-sell on what comes to our store a day prior because we're trying to respect everybody's safety during covid. We're in a location where we have as some of you say, "lord hobo bros" or whatever fits the bill of seaport location. As a beer consumer myself, I don't want to go into places right now that are almost claustrophobic with this virus. We allow picks up for up to a few weeks, even if its hazy beers and that's a risk for some but we want everybody to be comfortable at making their purchases.

We had zombie dust at $14. The other 4packs at around $12. But please lets not freak out and think its 2008 or whatever because they are planning to send fresh package every 2 to 3 weeks. Also at this point we all know it will probably sit on the shelves within a month or two as everybody wants to latest craze.

I hope to god they distro some of their stouts, a man can only dream.....

Possibly haze heads will think it's too malty and clear. I can wait, it's great beer. It must be so tough to manage inventory in a bottle shop in this era.

Actually it's a 50/50 we noticed some of our "haze boyz" buying it and are the same that were drinking sculpin towards its final run as a commodity.

It's not that tough, but the problem is that they are too many other bottle shop owners/buyers that aren't that up to date or keep an eye on trends and understanding how everything is working even to the old school stuff. So then what happens is they might persuade a consumer to buy a beer they haven't even consumed and not thoroughly consume it and resulting in hurting the brand for the most part. Also shops that are sitting on the brand for too long due to many factor. But that's what we think. It's tough when you want to tell the next guy that zombie dust is an amazing palate cleanser, well sort of, after consumer a dozen Trillium and Treehouse beers.

I look forward to saying “huh we get some of 3 Floyd’s hoppy beers now” and then not buying it because we have enough of that kind of beer on shelves already.

    Ohhh right. Makes sense now.

I think you’ll be ok.

    Ha, nah not that triggered.

Picked up Zombie Dust, Permanent Funeral, Gumballhead (honestly the one I was looking forward to the most), and Alpha King today.

Plenty at Ball Square, and Redstone got some in as well.

Interesting, there are different batches of Zombie Dust for the launch - mine's from 9/23.

Seems like Boston area stores which are a different distributor got the 9/23 batch, while south of Boston and cape got 10/7

I was pleasantly surprised to see it in the 6x12 oz format as I prefer that, and having not had this beer before, was expecting the 4x16 oz format.

Same, I was surprised by that. Gumballhead is as well (really good beer by the way).

I really enjoyed my Zombie Dust yesterday, was surprised it's an all Citra beer, typically those don't jive with my palate. Also was surprised because I thought this beer has been around for a long time, and Citra was popularized after that.

Finally, I couldn't believe this is still the number one rated American pale ale on Beer Advocate.

Zombie Dust has been hyped up for as long as I can remember, at least as long as Ive been on Beer Advocate and it definitely lived up to it in my mind. Maybe Im also tired of everything have lactose or over hopped (I like those beers dont get me wrong) this was just refreshing in a way.
Gumballhead was a crusher, 4-5 sips and it was gone and I wish I had another can. Alpha King was more along the lines of a classic IPA/pale ale with the bitterness and malt bill, but still fairly easy to drink.
My store got 5 cases of Zombie Dust Friday, sold out that day with more coming today, see how it fairs on the rebuy...

this is so wild to read. i'm a native hoosier and i grew up mainlining 3F. moved to boston a few years ago and love that its here now too. i love this beer to death but i'm also surprised it maintains the reputation it has - quality has dropped a bit over the years for me.

still whole ass rules that i can get it at the packie now.

Yankee Spirits in Attleboro current has 10/7 Zombie Dust and Laser Snake. I picked up a couple of cans of ZD. I figure I have plenty of time to try the other stuff. Eventually it will be like Cigar City/Toppling Goliath/Pipeworks - past prime stuff lingering for weeks/months.

Had one last night. Pretty exciting considering it was on my wish list for 10 years. Not sure what to make of it yet. I have another can to try this weekend. I can tell you this - it's damn delicious and the first thing that comes to mind as a comparison is Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, though with amped up flavor/bitterness. I miss the classic American Pale Ale style, which is what this is. This is not for the hazy crowd at all.
