Just got an email that new 2021 members have access to most member bottles in the shop (without any discounts) until Tuesday. Neat!

Ordered the virtual box. Looking forward to entering the world of insanely high gravity beer.

Has anyone had someone pick up a box or two out of an entire years worth of beer? I have a friend making their way up to Portland and was curious if anyone's had a proxy pick up part of a huge amount of beer.

Been doing that as a trustee lately. Society member goes to their online cellar and selects bottles, marks them for pickup, names the trustee. Then you wait for confirmation email. Has been taking a few days, more than the usual 24 hours.

Only gotcha has been having to add multiples from cellar one at a time. Your cellar may show 4 BT so you've got to click "+" four times to have them all included.

Edit to add: emails directly to "society@" about pickups seemed to not get quick response.

Just popped open Love At Midnight, and I'm not sure what any negative comments were about... the pineapple was subtle at first, but really came out in the back of my pallet. Vanilla is mild, and coconut is barely noticeable. I can't say it's better than Spicy Island (remember when we were all complaining about that beer... ended up being one of the best in the box... and that's saying something because it was a great box), but it's pretty damn delicious... and dangerous!

Here's my 2020 BT Box Power Ranking:
    1. Liberty Stoutwich (Wow! Might be the second best PB BT variant I've ever had, with the original draft only PBJ Black Tuesday topping it... Elvis is up there too).
    2. You want a piece of me? (I thought it was taking the success of BT Maple and escalating it).
    3. Sweet Magnolias... (I LOVE Banana Pudding, and that was a great tribute to it! Wish the nilla wafers came out a little more though.)
    4. Love at Midnight... (Ironic that I ranked this last place, because it's really pleasant... it just had some stiff competition).

Now on to trying the 2020 Black Tuesday base... and then making some french press variants this weekend (Reeses PBC BT, BT is an Idea Machine, BT with BBA Ultra Maple Syrup, Autumn MapHell and who knows what else I'll come up with!)

    Cheers everyone!

I'm trying to talk myself into opening that, but I think I'm going to be a bit busy this next week swimming in Black Tuesday... maybe for Thanksgiving!

Drink sooner than later. That beer is def going to be best fresh as possible.

I had another Love at Midnight last night. This time I drank it first and could definitely pick out the pineapple better than I could the first time. I think that the vanilla and the coconut serve to tone down and round out the pineapple sweetness so that's why it's not more pronounced like Spicy Island was. That, and maybe the peppers in Spicy Island acted like salt does in baked goods - really bringing out the sweet?

Agreed. Bet that strawberry is already fading away.

Picked up today, looking forward to all these Black Tuesday varients.

I don't think I've seen this called out specifically, these 10oz BT varient cans are a great idea. Would love to see more BT 10 oz mixed six packs.

Here's another idea: an Anniversay Ale Box

    @APCreative_ @iLoveDonuts Take note... that’s a PHENOMENAL IDEA!!!!

The only other beer that I think is as variant friendly as BT is the Anni beer... and maybe White Oak Sap!

No wonder why Melange #3 is so good!

More Anni variants is an awesome idea!
