Anyone tried recapping Furst and had it on day 2? Seems like it has the legs to pull off the BT 2nd day brilliance.

I'll be having second half tonight. I also assumed it would perform well. TBD...

Flavor on second night still top notch. I'd say the fizziness has dropped 20% even though I used a champagne stopper and got a "pft" when I opened it. A little moreso than I notice with other two-night brews. The decreased effervescence I would say I like LESS than how it was on the first night... but it's still damn good, and I am happier enjoying over two nights than trying to solo in one.

Smooth Criminal was a big fav of mine, but I think they only called it that b/c there was no other way to classify it. They accidentally blended their anniversary with Saison De Lente and that dry finish complimented the anniversary very well. Since they don't really make Saison De Lente, I'm not too hopeful there will ever be another Smooth Criminal. :slight_frown:

With all of the talk about Furst in the last week, I opened my up yesterday and will finish it tonight. I loved the mouthfeel and the beginning of the sip was straight up vanilla ice cream with strawberries. To me, mid sip it switches to a standard BA stout with chocolate oak and bourbon. Did anyone else find the finish/aftertaste to be really really dry?

I liked that the sweetness was understated. Don't know if I'd describe as really dry though.

I think there was a shit ton of cocoa in there, and perhaps the texture of that created the dryness you experienced?

Opened my last Autumn Maple. So sad... End of an era.

    It's a 2016 and it's delicious BTW.

Must have been something that I ate. The last half of the bottle was overall more balanced and I didn't experience that dry finish from the day before.

Don't drink the sludge at the bottom of the bottle by itself however. I must have under poured the first day. So, day two I topped off my glass. Since there was a little in the bottom of the bottle I poured it into a taster glass. Very thick, which wasn't the issue. It kind of had a yeasty spicy tang to it.

Planning on it, but at 830 EDT, I may have already had too many BT double barrel cans.

How about walnut, apricot and praline! I think WAP Tuesday would be a hit!

just going to say that I’ve been on this virtual party for over an hour and really little to no mention of the virtual box. Why did I buy this thing AND the BT box. Just sayin....

I think I just hear them mention they were going to talk about it. Will see....

This might be a rookie question, but if I buy some beers for a friend and select the shipping option on the site, can I have them shipped directly to him or do I need to pick them up and then ship them myself?
