if I remember correctly, at the time, Freckle was One of the first stouts they bottled that wasn’t Black Tuesday. The locals were dying for something under 18%. I personally think they didn’t rebrew it because somewhere along the line SHIT came into play and the SHIT w/Mole. Not sure if that will overshadow Freckle. Maybe it’s a completely different flavor profile and I’m off here. Lol

If there wasn't enough to do a second bottle for everyone, then I assume there will be precious few magnums (and if not, WTF). Hopefully that means some kind of cool high priced charity tie-in. Though given COVID makes it hard to share a regular bottle, let a lone a magnum, maybe 375ml COVID charity bottles might have been better? I know it's all already in flight, whatever it is, just sharing a hot take.

I hear ernh about having 1.5L, but not enough for additional bottles, per member. However, I do think it would be cool to see some very limited format sizes for the VERY special releases like Furst. Look forward to what's in store with that!

Interested to hear notes on Churiosity... It's dropped from 14% to 10.7% ABV.

I'm all for lower ABV in general, but the first batch was so good I'm hoping the recipe change doesn't disappoint.

 

Same. Last year's Churriosity was one of my favorites. I hope that lowering the ABV this year doesn't change the recipe much.

 

Agreed, hoping the same flavor profile is still there. This one was fantastic last year!

 

Yikes, the early feedback on Untappd for Churriosity is disappointment in comparison to past vintage.

 

Hope not, ordered a 4 pack last night, getting it today to try before buying more.

 

I got a can yesterday and enjoyed it.

It looks like the reviews on Untappd when I looked yesterday were at the taproom which leads me to something I've been meaning to post.

I tried the new BT and variants the afternoon they came out at the taproom and I really wasn't impressed. I tried them a couple days later at the taproom and they tasted better. I opened up all 4 bottles this last weekend and I thought they were amazing.

Anyone else noticing anything similar?

 

hmmm. Maybe the line wasn't cleaned properly ? That happened to me, but that was about 2 years ago with mash spumoni
