The details I saw were that the email receipt was necessary for pickup, and valid 21+ ID required, but no indication that the email and ID had to match. They don’t seem to have a limit on the number of cases you can purchase, so I don’t think they’re trying to prevent muling or hoarding, but it’s probably worth a call/email to the source to verify your proxy won’t have trouble if their ID doesn’t match the receipt.

Is there any way to get just a single bottle of MoAS? Mainly, I've never ticked this one off but I am not a big enough barleywine fan to want an entire case of it sitting in the basement.. does anyone in PDX want to let me pick one off of their case or will we see this hitting retail?

You should be covered. It hits retail, and tends to last a while.

Father of all Tsunamis and Captain of the Coast are worth checking out, too.

Exactly this. As recently as a month ago, there were still bottles on the shelf from last year at certain stores (John's over on NW Multnomah for example).

It's gotten a bit spendy though. My recollection is that the price at John's was in the $30 a bottle range. Not sure it's worth that, but that's just my opinion. It is a pretty good BW, IMHO.

John's isn't where you go to save money. Especially on barrel-aged beers. Just sayin'.

Sounds like you've perused the BA shelf at the new store. :sunglasses:

Their prices for Rusty Nail for example... Pretty sure they're the highest in town.

No, I haven't visited the new store yet. But I have some experience with the prices at the original.

The new store has a special shelf area for ba and vintage beers. The prices for most everything there are jaw droppingly high. I always check it out when I stop by, just for laughs and giggles.

I've been to John's in Multnomah 4 times since early August and I've not seen MoaS on the shelf there, weird. I must have had bad timing, I guess.

Try a Market of Choice or New Seasons by you, they always get it in and it lasts a while.

And $20/4-pack of 12oz bottles is a damn deal compared to $18-19 for a 22oz bottle last year. Still not sure how more packaging and over twice as much beer ends up only being a $1-2 price increase. When Firestone Walker went from 22s to single 12oz bottles of beers like Parabola the pricing stayed in the same general area (from $16-18/22oz to $11/12oz).

@vurt , @jason_nwx and others that shop at Uptown Market - they have an intriguing Black Saturday sampler pack on offer.

Looks like Mother of All Storms will be in 500ml bottles starting in 2021 (and all of their 22oz offerings will also be in 500ml bottles for their 25th "Bird-day" season).

Now, if only we get them on the 12oz bandwagon for Mother, Father and Captain...

The new batch of Fantasia and blend 6 of Ives, this time with Rainier cherries, are available. For this year's Fantasia, Upright have used peaches twice, once while fermentation and then again after barrel aging. I'm intrigued.
