Oh, right, the raisins! And the description of it tasting like rum raisin ice cream, which I do not like, lol. Sound like this is something I'll need to open sooner rather than later to take advantage of the carbonation effect.

Oh, I did not know that, thanks. Yeah, Love Bites seemed to be one of the best uses of strawberries so I have high hopes for this next batch.

Having just tried it, I'd say yes. I'd put it in-between Vermont Sticky Maple (that's a solid, go-to pastry stout, IMO) and Pain Perdu, which I thought was a bit too cinnamon-forward.

The strawberry was a little too present for my personal tastes. I hope there is more barrel this time around to balance the strawberry. A peanut butter covered strawberry version would be cool too!

Meemaw wasn't barrel aged. So there is at least that. Bakery is what turned me on to The Bruery so always excited to try the next in the series!

Thank goodness they're still making great beer, because the new t-shirt I just got shipped was very disappointing. Quality seems good, but cut/size is way different from the shirt I got 2-3 years ago.

XL shirt. I'm 6'2". The old one fits fantastically. New shirt is about three inches wider in the shoulders, about three inches longer, but about two inches narrower in the hips. Not a good look on me. Oh bother. At least the Fulfillment Team were cool about squeezing it into a bottle shipper so I didn't pay extra merch shipping.

2018 Churriosity was barrel-aged and this one isn't, right? I'd expect a pretty big dropoff in flavor/quality based on that alone.

Double barrel aged, bourbon and cinnamon whiskey.

    BA 12 Drummers is fantastic!

Honestly, you know what it makes me think of? Smooth Criminal. It's an insanely light and easy drinking version of Anniversary, wrapped in a deadly 15% ABV. We'll see how the second half does tomorrow night, but looking like I might be getting quite a lot of this...

New one is dark blue with outline of California and "The Bruery"written across it. Really nice looking simple design.

My old one was purple and has the Bruery's white/yellow checkered crest on the front.

Drinking Chocolate Reign right now, definitely a different beast to it's baby brother Chocolate Rain. This is definitely pronounced with dry and rich cocoa taste that you expect it to switch into a sweet chocolate taste. Then it's cuts into a strong oaky and vanilla taste.
I'll see what another year does this to it.

Hmmm... sounds like a year of aging hasn't changed it much. The dry, oaky, unsweetened cocoa flavor is what I remember from last year. Think I'll leave my bottles alone for another year. Thanks for the current tasting notes.

Drank a Churriosity last night. Biggest disappointment of the year. I'm kicking myself for buying two four-packs. One can would have been enough.
