Of all the beers to bring back, why Cinnamonk? Full disclosure, I liked it, but no reason to make this beer again when so many others from 2014-2015 deserve to be revived (Smoking Wood, Mash & Grind, and Humulus Lager, for example).

I try not to put *too* much stock into Untappd reviews but I looked up the old one from 2018 (4.28) versus the new one (3.51 at last glance yesterday), plus the reviews I've seen from here so far, and I'm passing on it this time around. Sorry you're stuck with 2 4-packs!

Just opened one of the oldest beers in my cellar, 2015 Melange #3. Wow, has this held up really well. Great caramel sweetness and tobacco notes. Maybe a hint of oxidation. Way better than '15 and '16 MOAS was a few weeks ago.

Ha ha. Hey, it's still for sale!

I don't know I'd say it actually tastes like Smooth Criminal. More that it fills that niche of being really flavorful with a super easy drinking body.

Second half of the bottle tonight was not quite as good as the first night, but still delicious. Carbonation down a little, and yeastiness more pronounced.

Also, both cans I've opened have gushed. Not sure what's up with that.

I opened my second can of Churrosity the other night, and it was also a gusher. As in 20% of the can expelled.

I will say that I liked this second can a bit more than the first, probably because I let it warm in the glass for about 15 min before drinking. Got some faint cinnamon ( got none from the first can) and the mouthfeel was a little better. Someone else mentioned picking out the "breadiness" and I think I noticed that. So, a drinkable pastry stout but I wish I'd invested the $ spent on two 4-packs into a different beer.

Finally had the new churriosity, oh man, what a disappointment. I regret buying 8.....oh well.

All I can say is comparing it to the first batch; very thinned out, much less cinnamon up front, basically a watered down first batch. Deserving of the ratings so far out there, everyone seems to agree.

2nd day of trying Chocolate Reign, definitely loving this much better than day 1. More smooth and chocolate is heavily pronounced now. The oakyness has faded drastically and the vanilla remains strong. Definitely a winner in my book.

Crushing a M1Reserve... have to say the second barreling made it a bit too acetic (imo) but it’s still a fucking wonderful beer.

I may have missed it, but has the Mash PB&J delay been mentioned? In all of the BT madness, I didn't even realize it was supposed to be an October beer.

Trying to use the cellar shipping option for the first time and prices seem really high, am I doing something wrong? I added 6 cans to my cart and shipping was $21, this seems a lot higher than what I remember (I usually have my beer picked up but occasionally ship). Also, is there a way to have glassware shipped along with cans/bottles? Trying not to pay an extra $10 for the two 12 days glasses I bought.

    Thanks all!

When in doubt, email the Society:wink:

I'd ask them about the glassware. In theory, you could X slots open for them to add in. I ordered a 9-bottle recently and in the memo area during checkout I requested that, if possible, they shove a couple tshirts in, and it worked great.

For the cans, I guess make sure there isn't other stuff in your cart? Remember bottles/cans aren't interchangeable like they used to be. But a 16-can shipper should still be $18 based on my last experience.

Is it a 4 pack and 2 singles? The online store treats theses as two shipments, even though they will fit into one 8 can shipper for $15. Granted, I'm not sure how you got to $21. When I do the same I get a $30 bill. Even the 16 can shipper is only $18.

It's a glitch that they have to work on. It's the same with a mix of bottles and cans. It will put the bottles into one shipper and the cans into another. Even through you can put a can into a bottle slot. If you email societies the will send you a bill for the correct amount.

when did they announce that they weren’t interchangeable?

More that it auto selects shipper size. That's why I tried to say if you left a couple spots empty you could add a memo asking for specific single cans.

They didn't really, seems they just like the extra cash? I brought it up on here and was told I was being a crybaby basically. I emailed them months ago and was told they are working on it. You can guarantee that if they were shipping stuff for too low of a price it'd be fixed right away. Try shipping yourself one bottle and one four pack....it's $30. You shouldn't have to go through an email conversation back and forth to get them to fit stuff into a shipper correctly.

I was skeptical of Rum BT but you know what? It's delightful! I don't know that I've ever been wowed by a Rum BA beer, and I recall Patrick in the past commenting on how it's hard to do interesting things with rum barrels because often all you get is alcohol heat.

Rum BT, similar to my take on Maple BT, is just enough different from regular BT to be "interesting" without going so far as to be weird.

I haven't tried base BT this year, but Rum BT is really smooth and mellow for fresh BT.

Tastes a bit like rum, warming but not hot or harsh, and in some ways I feel like the rum lets the maltiness stand out a little more. Definitely going to grab a few more to tuck away.
