Yea I got an email saying my box wasn’t coming until xmas, then my box shows up and my wife is texting me telling me thanks for letting her know. I sent them an email because I had 2 boxes supposed to come together because of the delay and let them know to now hold my other box and take of the box that’s supposed to be coming for Christmas and they apologized and now the other one says delivered.
It sold out before I saw it, but the Hardywood bundle for $30 seemed like a good deal. I don't know what those bottles retail for, but $30 for two barrel-aged bombers plus a 4-pack of cans seemed very reasonable. I'd probably have jumped on that if I saw it in time.
Top ranked beers on Tavour in 2020, Blessed from Anchorage was #1 https://www.craftbrewingbusiness.com/news/the-20-highest-rated-beers-on-tavour-in-2020/
Most of the bundles I saw were already sold out. Thank goodness barleywines aren't sexy right now. Can't wait to dig into those 7 different barrel treatments of Massive! barleywine.
I paid $15 for Kentucky Christmas Morning at a DC bottle shop, and $15 for a 4 pack of Christmas Morning, so definitely better than retail.
I saw the bundle & thought "ehhh, probably north of $50". The places I saw online had both the 750ML bottles for $13 so less than I'd imagined in this day & age. Still a great deal & two fantastic beers I'll be happy to revisit (plus two bonus beers one of which I haven't tried to date).
Other Half IPA bundle is up. 5 cans for $31. They make great IPAs if you’ve never had the chance to try them.
I just added that one. I got the previous bundle from them 2 months ago and they were great. Tavour is killing me lately between the bundles and other great offerings. I laid off of it for 18 months, but I couldn't resist some of the recent ones.
My crate is out of control with bundles from hardywood (2), pfriem and Firestone Walker. And that's just the half of it. Fortunately it closes tonight. Some really good pricing recently.
Got my Tavour shipment today. I'm in Michigan so I'm pretty sure it was shipped cold the entire way. Just opened the Cherry Pulpagogo. No problem opening or pouring.
So I’ve recently been using Tavour, and enjoy that I can get beer that would be otherwise quite difficult. The last two orders for my brother and I have had issues, however. Most recently I had an order of over $500, which was started strictly to get the Anchorage Tired But Wired (x2). The crate shipped and both bottles weren’t there (nor was the Weldwerks Starriest Night) and when I called they said they would refund it but they couldn’t send it because there was none available. I wouldn’t have even started the crate if I knew they weren’t going to send it since that was the beer I had wanted the most. Sorry to rant, but it’s very frustrating and I don’t find that to be acceptable. Has anyone else had similar issues, or am I an outlier here?
There have been some similar issues occasionally. I think they should do a bit more for you. They have treated me extremely well thus far.
No issues like that. However, I do have a box sitting in my dining room that was dropped off today with my Tavour box that doesn't belong to me. Luckily the guy doesn't live far, so I'll drop it off at his place tomorrow (& note this was the fault of the delivery service, not Tavour). The delivery guy didn't seem like he was quite all there.
In my view, this should NEVER happen. Don't they charge you for the beer immediately when you put it in your crate? If so, you've bought the beer, and it is yours. They should be earmarking the beers for you in your imaginary crate, making them unavailable for anyone else. And, if an error does happen, they should refund the money right away and let you know they will not be able to fulfill your order. For them to wait until you 'discover' the shorted order is completely unacceptable. It's almost like they want to keep you filling that crate so they can sell more beer to the unsuspecting customer. But, they wouldn't be THAT devious, would they? Nooo. Of course not.
