    Good evening BA
I have too many holiday beers in the fridge and work long shifts 2 of the 3 days of this weekend's tasting. So, you guys get holiday beers all week...

    Anchor Our Special Ale 2020

12oz bottle 2020 edition poured into a tulip glass at fridge temp 7% ABV. The beer pours dense, very dark brown with no light penetration and tan colored head. The head rises quickly on a hard pour and settles to a half inch cap. Minimal spotty lacing. The aroma is toasted, borderline roasted, malt with notes of cocoa, anise and baking spice. The taste is bittersweet, lightly roasted malt with minor hints of cocoa, cola, earth and spice before a mildly bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, very good.

This beer is like a lightly spiced brown ale / porter mix. Not your typical winter warmer and that's okay with me. Here's the rest of the lineup, except I'm weak and bought even more...

    Cheers all!

When I see a Nelson beer by a brewery I like, I usually go for it. This one right here isn’t very good though. Harland Nelson+Strata Hazy IPA:

Drinking an old favorite... Arrogant Bastard in a New Belgium Globe Glass

This is the beer that started it all for me. The beer that showed me how flavorful beer could be. Very nostalgic, every time I drink one I wonder why I don't drink it more often

Amazing! Usually at that alcohol level it is hard not to notice the booze. The beer must be really well done. If I ever see it, I am going to buy it.

    Thanks for your post.
