Anchorage Doomed still not sold out. I guess people are growing weary of spending $30+ on 375s that are "aged in Missouri oak."
My first box was similar. The receipt in the box said it was not available and I would be refunded. Since it was my first box, I figured I was low man on the totem pole and they oversold. Hasn't happen since that first box.
I did not get a free box of beer. I ended up getting a tracking number over a week after it was delivered. Tavour still has not updated it's status.
The only time a beer I had purchased became unavailable, I received an apologetic email and a refund loan before my crate shipped. Wish that would have happened with Wendigo lol.
Anyone else having their package stuck in limbo for weeks now? Back in November I had it pushed back three weeks over various excuses from Tavour, though they assured me shipping during December would not be a problem after I expressed concern. Then had a shipping delay, now it is floating around in the holiday shipping abyss with the carrier unable to scan. Good times
Had mine stuck in limbo for a couple weeks too after Tavour had COVID in their facility. Eventually the box started moving & after getting stuck again at the local delivery service for a few days, showed up. Another box showed up today with no delays at all, so hopefully the backlog is clearing. Good luck!
For me, the limbo has happened in the handoff to the final shipper. I've always gotten my beer, qnd usually just delayed a few days at thay point (not counting the inevitable tavour pushbacks of the shipping date.)
So came home today to a delivery ticket on my door from tavour. Not sure what they are delivering. As my box is still open and the other shipment I already received and sent an email telling them I received the shipment and not to send me another one. So we will see tomorrow what I’m getting.
I've complained about them here plenty, yet I keep ordering so shame on me. But with the increased availability of beers I'm interested in from online beer retailers that charge maybe $9 or so more for shipping, I think I'll pay more and get a better delivery service. Once again, a delayed box of beer that wasn't super fresh to begin with. Box left Seattle on Dec. 16 and had finally walked itself to Oakland by Dec. 22. It's scheduled to get to me on Dec. 28.
Got my second crate last week and had no issues. Trying to hold off before starting another crate, but I am pretty impressed with Tavour so far.
The beer offerings the last few months have been ridiculously good. Either that or the Tavour bot finally has my preferences dialed in. After a long, slow cellar fall since the first March COVID lockdowns, my cellar is growing steadily once again. Must. Drink. Faster.
My "Christmas" crate was delayed a few days. Yesterday I get an email that it had arrived in the Irwin PA distribution centre outside Pittsburgh. (I live in Pottsville) Usually takes 2-3 days from there, but noontime today in walks the UPS guy with 2 boxes. I'm a happy man.
Ups is your final delivery service? The dude that dropped mine off was a cracked out guy in a hoopty who didnt even check my id.
We have loved our Tavour smack down. We got a mix of Christmas goodness and sour/fruity funk-town. Tavour is in Washington (for some reason we didn’t know that until we got it), but our delivery was good and all the beer has been fun to work out. We are new at this BA thing and love reading everyone’s stuff so keep it going... cheers! D&B
I will say tavour has figured out where the previously mentioned delay happened, eventually located the boxes, and are holding until I can receive them for delivery, so kudos to them for that. Lots of debacle and twist and turns in between but they got it fixed. Again overall I really like tavour, just want some delivery issues ironed out which until this month they had. Guessing just a product of December shipping madness
If anyone has repartee from More on their untapped and is shipping soon. Pick that up and you’re welcome.
