I bet Jim Beam only put out a peach version since the peach Crown Royal was such a huge success. I'm not sure this is the best way to market it but I kind of got a chuckle out of it.

Yeah, the bar patrons did seem eerily familiar

Whiskey has gotten too rough for me. Even my beloved Black Bush has been too hard to take. I'm getting old. Bacardi Gold and a Cuba Libre' would be more my speed.

There is always room for a whiskey ginger... wonder if Beam will go as far as Suntory

Not tempted to go back. On the other hand it was practically always neat. And now it's too late for me. Things happen. Beer wins anyway :beers: :+1:

Give Blanton's and/or Baker's Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Single Barrel a try.

OMG, when I turned 21 my poison of choice was 10 High, a nasty rotgut bourbon made by Hiram Walker. Must have been as bad as the hooch they used to transport from Walker's across the river to Detroit during Prohibition.

I like what I like. Beer doesn’t bore me. Whiskey makes me fat because I chase it with soda. I’m trying to drink. Not pass out.

    It's all good.

It is not exactly a bourbon but I am a fan of Woodford Reserve Rye Whiskey (with no mixers).

    Cheers!

Made me laugh, heavy ipa aged in goats milk.

But then, Bourbon and ginger? Should of ordered it on the rocks, to get the full effect. But overall I like the bit.

It's Beam, you have to mix it! Ain't nothing wrong with a bottom shelf bourbon and ginger, but even if I'm ordering (or buying) bottom shelf, it's not Beam. Evan Williams, Old Grand Dad, etc...

    Funny commercial though.

Bore me? Beer? Nah...ain't gonna happen.

But do I also partake of other fine beverages from time to time? Sure do, but I'm not so sure I'd count Mr. Beam among them.:grin:

Jim, when you can make an IPA as good as some of the stuff I drink regularly, have your people get with my people. Until then, best of luck. I love you.

If I had a hankerin' for a peach-flavored drink, I'd probably reach for the Southern Comfort. But if I did, I'd probably dump it into a brown ale with a few drops of pecan extract. Or something. But bored with beer? Never! We have 113 styles, with countless variations within those. There's always something new. And you can have your bourbon, too! What could possibly go wrong?

Bourbons tricky, price doesn’t always dictate quality. Really the differences in labeling could be as simple as a specific warehouse location, one known that temp and humidity changes things up a bit.

Say it ain't so, Joe -- say it ain't so!

I'm not a big spirits drinker by any definition, but Black Bush was a favorite go-to if I was feeling my roots.

But it sure didn't take the place of my love for beer.
