California West Coast IPA Thread (2021)

SN Dankful remains a great throwback westy. Glad to hear it'll be around all year

 

Brand new from KRBC, There Is Still Beauty. Citra, Amarillo and Strata. Have stayed away from Strata in the past. New crop. New taste. I like it. Another good ipa from the guys in the Southern Sierra’s. I really need a road trip. Chuurch! is on deck. Not sure on this batch. No date on cans or holder. . I have that feeling.

 

better late than never, Taste for Adventure best Pizza Port ive had in a while

 

I enjoyed the 3 cans of Anchor Baykeeper that I got in the mixed 12pack.

 

And Chuurch! is in session!

 

Madewest 5th anniversary DIPA is freakin’ fantastic! 8% ABV. And $12.99/4-pack makes it a steal.

 

Completely agree. The sabro is big on this and taste great. While i'm a fan of pizza port i think they make a lot of good beer, but in LA/Orange County we have access to a lot of great beer. While i still buy pizza port beers throughout the year I tend to buy other brewery's beer more. If they continued to make this my pizza port consumption would go way up.

 

Dammit. Picked up Taste for Adventure without checking the hop bill. Sabro strikes again. Assume coconut here?

 

Not for my taste buds, bud. I said the same thing. Sabro? But I made the road trip last Saturday for this and was glad I did. Even though it was at my local (a block and half from my house). Another great beer from PP.

 

For those who are fans of the Nelson hop pick up a pack of Lagunitas StereoHopic. Huge Nelson bomb.

 

just opened one. solid, but I wish I could get their stuff at least semi fresh (this is around 5 weeks old). I miss fresh lagunitas.

 

I just came across it for the first time this morning and you’re right it’s 5 weeks old. Tastes great though, the hops still pop for sure!

 

The new batch of DDH Thrillseeker is great. Classic west coast feels with the Centennial and Chinook

Also picked this up today. Where is the bottle date on these bottles? It’s my first Lagunitas in a long time.

 

On the neck of the bottle right on the fill line.

 

Not on any of my bottles. I’m old & half blind. That’s 2 for 2 in bottle dates. Belching Beaver let me down. And now Lagunitas.
