Reminds me of Flogging Molly, &/or Van Morrison, before the vocals come in. Not sure what exactly, or why, but w/ my eyes closed, that's the visual that pops up (internally).

    & on it goes ....:+1:

[IMG] Poured into a 16 oz Snulip canned on 2/1/2021. Very excited because Flume2 is in the running for favorite beer out of Maine. Pours a very hazy orange yellow with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves nice thin streaks of lace as it slowly settles. 4.5

Aroma guava, peach, ripe melon, mandarin, mango, and apricot. 4.25

Taste follows guava, cantaloupe, peach, mandarin, mango, and apricot fairly sweet with little bitterness. 4.5

Mouthfeel is bigger than average, a tad sticky but not dry, soft gentle fairly creamy carbonation, and at 9.5% ABV it goes down very easy, but loaded with flavor. 4.5

Overall another excellent IPA from this great brewery. I will be honest, I was hoping for even better but I am digging this and will give the next can a little extra time in the can. 4.5

And now, settling down post-chores with a Founders Backwoods Bastard:

When I first had this beer, I compared it favorably to BCBBW (yes, it's a different style). I stand by that. It's not quite as good, but it certainly is no slouch.

Been listening to a lot of The Ocean Collective lately. Cheers!

Traeger is kinda like the sous-vide of smoking...my sous-vide is a work from home crutch for scientifically perfect temp and texture...just set it and forget it (within reason)

FanDuel ap crashed, so the Mrs. was not able to lose her $5.. She was pulling for KC. The TB domination of both GB and KC (and how they both rolled over IMO) reminded me of when Tiger Woods won most any week he laced up the spikes or when Jimmy Johnson won 6 nascar cup titles in succession.

Varietal Brewing Co. -- WeedWolf: Gloomtrance (experimental double IPA)

    3.98/5 rDev -1%
    look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 4

Light gold body with a touch of haziness; full and lively carbonation presence; thick and billowy white head. Earthy citrus aroma mingled with a touch of cereal grain scents; spicy. Fairly bold lemon taste with a bit of grapefruit and pineapple; strong hop bitterness overall; citrus rind pith; oats. Medium body; coarse and prickly on the palate; mild tanginess; a touch of dryness towards the finish.

    Canned 11/24/20 "Sonic Titan Rides".

Overall, this is a pleasant double IPA with nice looks and a strong hop presence, especially with the taste.

Thanks, we used to watch that show all the time. I think it was Flay’s first one on the old food network. There are a bunch of them on you tube, it used to be a 1/2 hour show. Cheers

After a Teams meeting that went nearly 10 hours, this is hitting the spot. Nice, juicy, slightly dank tropical hop bomb. Very well done, IMHO.

Kind of, there is a good place for Sous Vide though. I mean if youre using it for "braising" a tough cut it makes sense. But if youre cooking your steak to temp and then searing it ....meh
Especially when you can do a real reverse sear without it

Perusing through the New Trail Expedition Pack with Confluence. Decent old school IPA in the veign of Furious or Two Hearted. They're already hinting at a second pack on their FB page, and also White Out DIPA will be on shelves soon!

Furious and Two Hearted are two completely separate beers. Where are you going with this?
