Need a new pair of hiking boots as my Oboz Firebrands are literally on their last kilometres. They’re nine years old, took me through thirteen countries, all manner of weather, terrain, situations and a hell of a lot of walking back home, so they don’t owe me a damn thing. Am going to save myself the needless grief of research and just buy another pair of these.

Beer number three is some world class German greatness. Cheers.

Seriously though, that is awesome! When I became a Dad to my daughter nearly 29 years ago, it was the happiest day ever.....my daughter Chloe makes me proud all the time too! Cheers!

 

Definitive Behind the Light



From a 16oz can marked CANNED ON 01/08/21 12:37 IN FRONT OF THE DARK

Pours into my tulip glass an opaque pineapple gold with a fluffy offwhite head. Good retention and plenty of soapy lace.

Scent is grapefruit, orange, lime, tropical fruit, green melon. Canteloupe. Pineapple.

Taste is tropical fruit and a definite canteloupe note. Papaya, green melon, citrus. Tangerine and a hint of grapefruit rind. Spicy hop note on the finish - mildly peppery. Finish is nicely bitter - more so than most NEIPAs.

Mouth is juicy, round and substantial.

Fantastic IPA. Vivid scents and flavors and I like the increased bitterness - something I miss in most NEIPAs.

Fridge is low on beer, Kettlehead tomorrow should solve that, plus working at the beer store after.

 

If she’s sixteen and graduating, I’ll hazard a guess that she was skipped ahead a grade?

Coos Dooryard

From a 16oz can with no freshness markings.

Pours into my tulip an opaque straw shade with a creamy off-white head. Quite a bit of fluffy sticky lace.

Scent is hard to discern. Vague tropical fruit and grapefruit.

Taste is tropical fruit. Oranges. Citrus. Mild bitter resiny pine note in the finish. Possibly some pineapple

Mouth is creamy.

Enjoyed it but not something I would go out of my way to find again.

 

Tonight will probably feature julius, without Julius. Just cracked a jjjuliusss. Kj and kjjj are lined up.

 

My first time for this IPA from Karmic daaru Co-
Pretty tasty overall and probably even better once it’s colder
Beautiful color, lacing, head and nice citrus taste -
Recommended !
