All true! Why they play. I get sick of my friends that are Pats fans that keep saying "luck catch", "what if Eli hadnt thrown a perfect pass to Manningham"...what if... yawn. Theres a certain amount of luck in the game. How about the "fumble" (tuck) in the Pats/Raiders game? What if that had actually been called a fumble? What if?

This Tropical Punch version is pretty great, although the Mixed Berry you sent was better, basically an alcoholic version of the smoothie I have most mornings for breakfast.

Have an online class coming up in less than a half hour but just poured a beer. Luckily I don't have to be on webcam for this one, and I'm ahead anyway so... whatever.



Necstasy by Commonwealth. Not a big fan of the IPAs these guys do. Nectaron hops are really cool, and Julius sounds decent enough (great name for a hop varietal there, guys; very original...), but nothing here wows me. Tastes old-ish(?), and I wish I knew when it was made but... they don't can-date so I have to go on social media and try to trace when they posted about it, which is just about the most frustrating shit in the dumb world of modern beer. Just looked it up, and... yeah, I should've known it was canned about two months ago... and yet it just showed up in my area recently. This type of thing irks me quite a lot. First you don't tell anyone when your beer was made on the physical object containing said beer, and then you ship it out to a state on the same coast as you, who gets it months after you made it. Guess I should feel happy it doesn't have some kind of hypocritical "DRINK FRESH!" thing on it anywhere, though, eh? Sorry, my inner cynic is coming out. I'll stop.

Anyway, grainy nose with a decent amount of orange marmalade, some grassiness, apricot, and maybe some papaya as well. Light notes of honeydew melon. Not overly impressive. Semi-bitter with hints of orange and tangelo on the tongue along with some mango and papaya juiciness. Apricot and light tannins... some spice, too. Mandarin preserves, grassiness, and lighter suggestions of oat-like maltiness. Meh, not bad, but I think I'll skip IPAs from them in the future. Something about their hoppy stuff seems less saturated than I want it to be. Their sours and stouts have been pretty good generally, so maybe I'd still think of grabbing those.

 

DIPA from Twin Elephant from New Joisey and this is a wow. The color, the smell, the taste. Like a dank peach. Fuck me running, this is delicious.
