Unfortunately, IGOR will not be released this year.

True story. It'll be back next year, I'm sure. We brewed the beer with a malt that ended up giving us problems, and the result was a thin beer. Can't have a thin Imperial Stout, especially one named IGOR. So that bad boy got soured up and is aging in wine barrels.

We'll see how Son of IGOR (or whatever we end up calling it) tastes around Halloween 2013.

    Cheers!

    Fruitcake? I'm intrigued...is it a brown ale? Winter-warmer?

The Kentucky Common also has my interest....saw that was what is coming to the Raleigh Rare Beer tasting, one of the very few beers they've announced for the fest that I'm excited about.

Thanks for the update (even though no Igor makes me sad).

    Fruitcake...The Beer.

Probably the best beer name I've heard in a long time.

Theyve really picked up their barrel aged output the last 12 months.

But this all has me excited. Durham is really turning in to a good place for beer!

Does anyone know if Fruitcake will be available at any of the local bottle shops in RDU?

yes, it was nice to see Chombers made it to Charlotte...we didnt get the cool orange wax top tho....(actually much easier without it, but it was a nice touch)

Yes indeed. We'll have 800 bottles for sale. If you have a specific store you'd like to see it in, please let me know. But the usual suspects will likely have it: Sam's, Tasty, Bottle Rev, Bottle Mixx...
