16 oz can with 228 0 2 4819 2012 stamped on the bottom. I assume that means brewed December 2020.

Pours into my tulip glass a hazy pineapple gold with a creamy offwhite head. Head drops to a ring and a skim and coats the glass with fluffy lace.

Scent is immediately noticeable on cracking the can. Pineapple, tropical fruit, grapefruit. Citrus. Digging in I get some pine and spicy peppery hop oils.

Taste is sweet and sour tropical fruit. Papaya, guava. Pineapple. Lime. Salted pretzels. Canteloupe. There is something creamy and tangy that I can't quite identify. Peach. Orange rind. Vanilla. Bread crust as the beer warms. Low soft bitterness. Little to no pine present and grapefruit though present in the nose does not really seem to appear in the taste. A white grape note - is this the Hallertau Blanc?

Mouth is juicy up front; mildly astringent toward the close.

Hazy body, juicy feel, low bitterness, tropical fruit and melons. Yep it's a NEIPA. Great nose. Nice subtle malt flavors. Would definitely enjoy this again.

Transient Resinate IPA (‘20 Simcoe, Michigan Chinook and Centennial). Sadly my last of these. Has the body and feel of a NE style beer with the flavors of a west/east coast hybrid; not to mention the nostalgia this one brings from being brewed back in the day. Bright pine resin, orange pith, ripe navel orange flesh for days, tangerine, ruby red grapefruit, lemon, slight ripe pineapple, grass, vanilla wafer, dough. Slight touch of residual sweetness. Awesome single IPA from an amazing brewery that I’ve documented too many times today. Nevertheless, they deserve it. Cheers BA.

Beer number three is my go to and is bridging me while I figure out a movie beer. Have a border guard movie called Transpecos and a movie called Bastards by the great Claire Denis. Cheers. [IMG]

As it should be. I personally was happy hanging with my youngest ( preschool age then ) when I got out. By the time he was in 1st Grade I was bored stiff. That & economic necessity ( wife had a hard time finding work in her field locally in Oklahoma ) got me back in the work force. If was comfortable enough I would've rather fished, dived & traveled with the wife. That will have to wait a few more years ( plus we did so much of that while I was in, I can't complain ).
