Great beer and very available every year in my area. I always go through a couple of cases of this while it's out. Still have 5 or 6 bottles from last year, may have to bring 1 up tonight!

I debated that when I posted, not sure whether to call it the 2012 or 2013 release, so I just went by the bottling date (obviously if it's going to be released on the first it was bottled in 2012) and called it good. A technicality I suppose.

I had a bottle from last year recently and it is just sublime. Hopefully I can get a pack or two this time around. It seems to age with the best of them.

One of my favorite Imperial Stouts hands down.

Still can't believe Founder's is now stocked to the gills here in CT.!

    Cheers All and Enjoy..........

Hopefully the readily available part still is true. Sales of new releases keeps getting crazier and crazier.

I love this beer. It flew under the radar last year. Something tells me this may not be the case this time.

I live in SE Michigan as well and I'll tell you right now that the availability of this is no where near that of Breakfast Stout. I'd say it's about the same as Curmudgeon maybe a little more scarce. I was able to get about 3-4 packs last year in the first week of it's release...went back to my stores the next week and it was all gone. This is one that most stores here but a limit on.

Honestly if you live in southeast Michigan just drive up to Founders in 2 hours and buy a case or two of it. They let you buy as many as you want at the Founders store and the beer is cheaper straight from them with no middle man.

Looking forward to this again, one of the best.

Side Note: I wonder if Wine Advocate members make fun of people for thinking that different vintages of wine are different?

Assuming we get any here (and I'm hoping so, since we get Founders) I'll be picking it up. Might be the first time I let something age.

You should not have any problems finding Imperial Stout in SE Michigan.

I completely disagree with this statement. Last year I was able to score one 4 pack and the year before I believe I was able to buy 2 singles. Granted I've got the delivery days down a little better this year so hope to be able to score more this time around in SE MI but this is not a beer you are simply going to walk into the store and find laying on the shelves in our area. If you put effort into it I agree you should have no problem scoring some but SE MI has never been an easy score for Founder's specialty beers.

You have more experience than me on this so I will trust your judgment. I am generalizing based on my experience. Last year in Ann Arbor, I walked into a store (Busch's I think) and casually found a 4 pack on the shelves. Maybe I got lucky. Best of luck to all in finding it.

Yeah does seem Ann Arbor doesn't have as bad of a struggle as those of us more to the east. Here's to hoping this year will be easier for all of us!

Just bought a 2013 4 pack from a store in Jersey. I believe hunterdon messed up and released it early. Bottled 11/29/12
