By the way, just had Stone’s Liquid Poem. It’s not Ruination, but if you are looking for an old-school, straight up bitter IPA, it may hit the spot for you.

Just got an email from Smuttynose:

    Limited Draft Exclusive Release of
    2021 Really Old Brown Dog

"We're bringing back a crowd-favorite classic as a limited batch, draft-only special release this week! The 2021 run of Really Old Brown Dog is only available at the Smuttynose Restaurant."

If it's such a "crowd favorite" brew enough for a crowd, bottle it and distribute it.

That annoyed me this year. Whenever a brewery kills a malty winter seasonal with a generic IPA, seems like just a money grab.

I have 2 left from the last run or Hibernator.

Bring back the whole Wolaver's Organic line.

I don't know if it's discontinued or not but I miss Sierra Nevada BFD.

I’m still sitting on a bottle of SBP - The was one of my favorites of their Big Beer Series, which, in fact, I wish they’d recreate most of the line, especially the Barley or Wheatwine which I recall was especially great.

I still love a Molson Golden with a Lobster up in Maine and still do that - Molson Golden is one of the first beers I used to get drunk on with my high school buddies...but what I’d love to track down, and like you, not sure if it’s still made and if it is, I don’t believe it’s for export, is Molson Export Ale - the one with the red label. It had a much crisper taste to it and was a refreshing change to Molson Golden. Cheers!

Here are a couple to add to the list:

    Dogfish Head - Raison D’etre
    Smuttynose Big A IPA

I used to brew a clone of the Raison D’etre and nailed it - haven’t brewed in years but looking forward to taking it up again and will start there....

I’ll second others requests for the following two - which I guess makes four for me...!

    Weyerbacher Slam Dunkel
    Stone Levitation

Can't eat the lobster, but I do like my Molson Golden. Wish I could find some Export Ale to try. A nice pleasant drink, the Golden is.

Blazing World has been discontinued?? I'm devastated. That was my favorite MT beer.

    Still, if I had to list my top 2;

Double Jack by FW. And I know they brought it back, but I just don't trust them after what they did to Union Jack IPA. I'd want old school Double Jack, and I doubt I'm gonna get to drink that ever again.

Zwickel Bock from GB. One of the first craft beers I ever tried. First one I ever loved.

Well, it was inevitable that more discontinued beers that I loved would race through memory banks. Great to see all the beers in this thread!
I'll have to add Schell Lock and Dam Amber Lager.
It was a crisp, copper lager that is/was beautifully malted. On tap it was divine. I would forego a couple of my classic faves to make way for it. Cheers!

Oh man -- thanks for remembering that! What a great brewery that was. I got to meet the owner a few times at some Fests, very cool guy.

Gimme a minute to rummage thru my brain box... Steve Dinehart! Wonder what ever happened to him?

Made a great Bock and Hefeweizen, too.

HARD co-sign with OP on Habanero Sculpin. One of my all-time-favorite beers. The heat level was so perfect and paired incredibly with the other characteristics of Sculpin.

Maybe they were only seasonal, but Surly's Scrillionnaire (doppelbock) and Yummi Bear (WCIPA). Couldn't get enough of those two.

I can only grant you one wish. Ta-da! It’s back.
(Their current “organic pale ale” is supposedly the same beer after a 2011 name change,)

I won't look a gift horse in the mouth, so thanks!

But on the off chance I ever get a second wish, I'll take a lifetime supply of fresh cask ale, please (Taylor's Golden Best will do ). :stuck_out_tongue:
