It's a gorgeous day in the Philly Burbs, so I've been hanging on the back porch drinking beer. The beer I'm drinking now is Elysian Space Dust IPA. Pine & citrus are prominent. Hoppy bitterness is nicely backed up by malts. A nice beer.

 

Yes, and they went great with a grilled bratwurst and sauerkraut!

 

A little bit inspired by "Back to Basics". After a lot of Bocks, Imperial Stouts and BA beers, it's time for some easy ones. Mixed a case of Tegernseer Hell, Tegernseer Spezial (one of my favorite beers) and Weihenstephan Helles. All of them seem to be quite fresh.

G'day, all! I'm drinking this and you, in all probability, are not: Yooper Ale, from Upper Hand Brewing, Escanaba, MI. This is a pretty good session pale ale (4.0% ABV). It'd go great with a pasty, which I unfortunately do not have at the moment. I can tell you, however, that it does go great with a ham sandwich on ancient-grain bread with cheese and stone-ground horseradish mustard. Courses one and two complete, five more to go. Kippis!

It was high time I busted into this mighty 4pk and look what the the good doctor DZ ordered!
Got about 3 miles of a run in but got caught in some driving rain and flooded streets (quite hilly and winding roads here) so I bailed and sloshed my way home. At least I ran.

As you all may know, the beer is absolutely stunning and is a masterpiece of brewing.
Certainly one I'll be returning to over & over as it opens and changes over time and gets earthy and boozey and perhaps even some ancho or chipotle...amazing!
It makes my brain do this>

 

Hoping to make the 2 hour trip to the Port Royal Speedway for the World of Outlaws late models tonight...if not, I’ll stay in, watch hockey and drink the other 5 of these!

One of my favorite beverages, the 12 yr Special Reserve. Got a pour for $35 at a local Irish pub a couple winters back, would love to get a bottle of that, under $500, ha. Cheers!

Really lousy couple of work days - felt like quitting Thursday after I discovered a dude that was hired last Nov is making $20k more than me, after 10 years with the company.....pissed....so tired of the corporate bullshit
