Cast Iron Machine, a Euro Dark Lager from Interboro & Bunker. A touch too sweet, IMO but quite easy to drink. I am thrilled to be seeing more Dark Lagers around these days

    cheers!

First day at the pool. Only about 70 degrees but it's sunny and the kids don't mind the cold water.

Great call, over ice with tequila would make an excellent cocktail. Cheers!

    look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4

Pale and cloudy, bright yellow body crowned with a thick, creamy, frothy white head. Big tropical fruit smell; banana and pineapple; very faint biscuit scent. The taste is a variation of the smell theme; rich, fruity flavors; peach, papaya, pineapple and grapefruit; more pronounced biscuit presence; citrus tanginess; moderate to heavy hop bitterness. Heavy body; velvety and acidic; moderate boozy warmth; dry overall.

For a triple IPA coming in at 10% ABV, this beer does a fine job of presenting a fruity, citrus-like quality over an alcohol hammer. It is very complex with a healthy dose of tropical fruit character with a nice, low-key bitterness with a chewy, lactose enhances body.

Poured at 56° F; bottom of can info: CANNED ON 04/14/21 HARD MASTER.

Brothership DDH Hop Tracer (Citra/Simcoe). This is this brewery’s first DDH west coast and it’s on point as expected. Drinks like a “new school” west coast, with amplified fruit character from the hops, yet still retains the classic qualities of the style (dank and green with a dry, bitter finish). I think it’s safe to say that Brothership knows their hops.

    From pint can marked 04 03 21

Pours into my tulip glass an opaque pineapple gold with a bubbly offwghite head.

Scent is cat pee and onion. Yes really.

Taste is citrus tropical fruit and green melon. A big dank oniony note. Yum. Hop resin. A hint of pine. Some lime and grapefruit.

    Mouth is a juicy medium.

This one really hit the spot for me. Nice big dank resiny hops in both the nose and the taste.
