What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #3169

Lifted weights and rode the MTB. Now watering and drinking some TG.

 

Good evening everyone!
Today I opened a particular "new generation" beer from the cellar ...
Put 10 minutes in the fridge and open now:
Crak Brewery (ITA) - CHOCOBANANO -Imperial Pastry Stout Whisky Barrel Aged.

37.5 cl bottle paid a lot! (€ 12.50).
With real fruit (no extracts, juices, etc.).
It is owned by an independent artisanal agricultural brewery that cares a lot about the fact of not using extracts, reductions and everything that undergoes a processing that does not pass from their hands.
Big impact on the nose of banana, then peat and vanilla.
Dense brown color (Almost Nutella, a couple of shades darker), non-existent foam even with beer poured vertically.
In the mouth a banana pudding: flat and very dense body, banana taste prevails over everything that tries to hide a warm alcoholic note.
To act as a nuance to the main taste, polite woody and peaty notes (from Scottish Whisky barrels) .
Even if I am not a lover of the "Pastry" style, I really liked this beer and, although it is not easy to drink alone, I will probably take it back as it is also a limited edition (if not a one shot) even if in general , if I have to spend that money, I prefer to orient myself on other styles of beer.

Afternoon BA's! A steep and rocky 6 mile hike in the book, followed by a quick 15 mile bike ride. Beer time.





Guadalupe Brewing IPA at Attagirl with the a fried chicken sandwich and garlic thyme fries.

 

Is it Friday yet??? Almost! Good Thirsty afternoon BA's! Taking a early out from work day. Drinking a Creature Comforts Silent World Black Lager. This is probably my favorite beer from Creature. It drinks so light you'd never believe it was a dark beer. The couple of times recently Creature announced an expansion of their year around offerings, thought for sure this would be one. Alas, not yet. Cheers!

Time for a beer break - “duh” advertised as a WC IPA, at Burial:



Some clarity in an otherwise opaque body. Strong onion and garlic nose. Taste follows with skunky earthy hops and overripe semi sweet tropical fruit. Medium body and some hop burn on tip of tongue. Long skunky/oniony linger. Not my jam, one and done…Cheers from Asheville NC!

That doesn't sound very appealing. I'm about to go track down a collab between Creature Comforts & Burial - Culture Keepers Maibock. I don't think they have it in NC, just GA; but if they do, go for it!

 

An Italian Pilsner from Single Hill named Molto Luppolo. It's pretty nice.

Switched to my stock of Jack's Abby Sunny Ridge. I've grown quite fond of this tasty brew.
