What beer are you drinking now? #3175

Having a Seyval Blanc grape Fated Farmer barrel-fermented wild ale from 2019. Nice and tart, crisp white wine notes, tropical and citrusy, some barnyard funk, herbal earthy hop notes, a bit like a sour acidic natural wine. Pairs pretty well with some extra sharp white cheddar. Cheers all!

 

Happy Wednesday BAs!. It's been stormy all afternoon. Today's theme is Fat Heads, I had 2 Head Hunters with some tacos for lunch and picked up a 4-pack of IBUsive after work:



This is actually the second one, drank the first one too fast for a photo. Fresh and very hoppy, an awesome IPA.

Little rain may be coming.....

 

Seedz Sunny Kolsch (dry-hopped rye Kolsch). Light notes of floral, rye spice, white grape, and orange pith. Really well done.

 

Out on the porch cranking some excellent music while a severe thunderstorm rips through my area (northern MA). I was working on some precalc homework but beer is more enjoyable, and the storm is giving off a cool atmosphere (multiple definitions of the word "cool" are applicable here considering the 95+ degree weather of late).



This is Scales from Stoneface. A very good, palatable, somewhat "been-there-done-that" beer, but it is worth a drink for sure in any case.

Good evening BAs!

This is a collaboration between Hair of The Dog (USA), de Molen (The Netherlands) and Tamamura Honten (Japan). It's a blend of 3 of their beers: Fred (American Strong Ale), Hel & Verdoemenis (Russian Imperial Stout) and W-IBA (Cascadian Dark Ale/Black IIPA). 2017 vintage.



So much going on here! Wow! Sweet, bitter, dry, roasty, tobacco, leather, wood/oak, bitterness, hops, tannins/tea, dark fruits. This is very good and right up my alley.



I'm torn....between making an out-of-state beer run, for my birthday in 2 weeks, or ordering another mixed 12-pack from HotD.

Too pooped after working in the heat for some exercise, so why not celebrate the inbound thunderstorms kicking out the humidity with a Trellis? Great idea, thanks BAs!

 

My first beer by Transient and it’s their “Dark Lagger” which is listed as a German style dark lager. It’s listed on here as a dark European lager, but it’s a schwarzbier and a breathtaking one. So much caramel and dark baker’s chocolate. My goodness!

@SABERG - thanks for the heads up about the storms. As usual, they missed me here, didn't even get any rain although I could hear thunder in the distance. It looked momentarily threatening but nada. The evening is young though.
