Big fan of Spyglass. Best option for me 30 min or less away. Should hit Whole Foods before you reach the highway. One of the best beer bars around.

Kelsen Maibock.... damn tasty and spot on for the style! Prosit!!

Btw... hate this amalgamation of "northeast " states.... too large an area, imo.... anyhow.... another Prosit!!!

Very Belgian forward. Super heavy on the spice and earthiness. I get it, but I don't know if it's doing it for me.

This is pretty legit stuff from Aeronaut. All Mosiac DIPA giving off a ton of berry and pineapple and not overwhelming at all. Effervescent and easy to drink. Probably it, have to be up pretty early tomorrow, fucking 7:45 showtime. Ugh.

I dont like the idea of an IPA with double digit ABV but I admit this one is darn tasty and works well as an only-beer-of-the-night.

Finishing a Patch (APA) from Fox Farm. They really built a lot of flavor into this one despite the low ABV. Had a little bit of leather/tobacco to it that was surprising.

Im trying another of the PA beers I brought back with me to Connecticut tonight. Was going to do something bigger but will do that this weekend. I like trying random small breweries when I visit, Im not always rewarded with great beers when I do this. But still keep giving em a shot. Tonight is Levity 422 Vienna Style Lager.
    Onto my review:

Sampling a chilled 16 oz can poured into my .5L dimple mug. Canned 2/2021
The pour is a clear amber color with a frothy eggshell to beige colored head of 1.5 cm. This foam fades quickly to nothing but a few strands on the edge of the glass. Several lazy streams of carbonation rise to the surface of the glass, but do not replenish the foam.
The aroma on this beer is clean and simple, with some grainy malt and a bit of caramel. Overall very mild nose. not flawed but not much to go on either. The first sip reveals a light to medium body with crisp texture and fine tingly carbonation.
Flavor is also mild but I do get a hit of tangy flavor up front and then followed by toffee and caramel. The tang isnt a spoiled beer flavor, its actually almost like the wheat twang that I often get from wheat brews. It is a little off putting for this style and covers over the more typical malt flavors up front. I dont get much of a balancing hop flavor and no booze.
This is an okay lager, but its not something I would buy again. Something is just not quite right on this beer.

This is different. But, after sipping on a Super Treat in a lazy river it’s hard to compare. Spicy, lemon citrus. Down to the pool.

I believe Dan Suarez said the idea behind this beer was to showcase an “eccentric” yeast strain.

Fight like a Mother DIPA with Cascade, Chinook and Simcoe. The fifth and best beer I’ve had from these guys. It does not have the overcarbonated feel I experienced in their other beers I sampled here a few weeks ago. Drinkable with just enough bite to show the 9.7%. Fresh baked bread malt profile that lends some sweetness to the slightly bitter, lemony and herbal hops. I’d like some more pop from these hops but I get exactly what they’re going for and it’s pretty well done. Old school.

Oak-aged Helles. Fantastic. That oak really comes in on the finish. Scavenger hunt with the dance girls. I got ketchuped twice. An egg over my head and then I had to jump in a pool, clothed, through a hula hoop.
    Hooray beer!
